Inspire HR is tracking inaccurate GPS data

I noticed on my replacement fitbit that I get inaccurate readings (sometimes it records me on GPS going on paths that I did not go on or stops working while walking so I don't know how much I walked.) Today, I took a walk with my husband (same time, same pace) and our readings don't even match at all (pace, and distance) even though according to the GPS maps it was the same locations!  When I first got my first fitbit, this was my favorite feature but I am slowly not working out as much since I can no longer accurately monitor my workout. Any tips?

Hi @jandon, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I totally understand how you feel about the inaccurate GPS data that your Inspire HR has tracked.

I'd like you to restart your Inspire HR as listed in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how the GPS feature works on your Inspire HR. This article contains some troubleshooting steps for you to try.

Finally, monitor your Inspire HR during your workouts and see if it provides accurate GPS data.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi. I tried to reset my fitbit and have monitored my walks. My GPS is on at all times - so I am confused on why my fitbit readings still appears to be low (how did I do only 4.5 miles but walked more than 12673 steps today?) My pace is usually high and I still have no idea about my heartbeat while walking.  Not sure what is going on.

Wanted to let you know that I restarted the fitbit last night and this morning went on a walk for 1.5 hours.  The exercise tracker was on all the time along with my audio book.  Close to the one hour mark, I noticed that the fitbit STOPPED recording miles but still kept track of my walk (which at 58:25, at 14'21" pace, I only did 0.8 miles). It restarted the minute I took it out of my pocket - eventually recorded my walk 1.82 miles at 52' pace for 96 minutes).  I noted that even though the exercise tracker was inaccurate, the app recorded me walking over 11,500 steps at 4.91 miles.  I don't know what I am doing incorrectly. I have restarted my fitbit again to see how it fares later.
