My fitbit has started to track steps and I'm not even wearing it. The number has been slowing going up all day. How do I fix this? It's just started doing this today.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Vivirisa. Thanks for letting us know that your Inspire HR counted over 50k steps while you were sleeping and for mentioning that is the first time it happens.

You can negate  the steps during the time you slept. You can check How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities? help article. Also you can restart your device to avoid this happening again.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Ahether87. Thanks for letting us know that your Inspire HR tracks steps while you´re not moving.

Could you please check if your device is on a surface that could have movement? If you have your tracker inside something that you carry like a back pack it could register steps too.

My inspire hr just counted over 50k steps this morning while I was sleeping. This is the first time for me too. What should I do?
