My Fit Bit HR stopped recording sleep data.  It also stopped syncing.  How do I fix this?

@Lat67 Thanks for joining us!

If your tracker isn't syncing the no data will be transferred to your account, this includes sleep data. You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Hope this helps.

I've been having the same problem this past week. I did all of the troubleshooting steps including replacing my device in the app three days ago. The device synced as it should for a day and stopped again.

Mine is working again. It turned out that I needed to update my IPAD with the most recent update. That fixed it.

I had given up trying to fix this because I was pretty sure the problem was with the app. I can't say when, but my Fitbit started syncing and working properly a day or two after I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've found, when there is some unexplained, random problem with my Fitbit, it's easier to just wait it out and it will usually fix itself with the next app update or recharge.
