Inspire HR massive overcount of steps on Sundays

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Inspire HR is MASSIVELY overcounting steps by as much as 20,000-50,000 steps!  Practically every Sunday (and only on Sunday) for the past 2 months, the tracker overcounts steps. I usually walk 10,000 steps a day but right now at 4:45 pm, it says I have 64,259 steps.  WTF!  Resets don't help.

@MaryCef It's great to see you in the Community!

Sorry to hear about this and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen while driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non-dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement. Could it be that you are doing an activity on Sunday that requires a lot of hand movement like applauding at church? or driving to a place out of town? Also check if you have a third party app linked to your account, these may log activities on it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, but this doesn't help the situation. Everything you mention is not
applicable.
