Inspire HR mismatch of data

Hello. I have been using my Inspire HR for around eleven months now, and it worked fine until a few weeks ago. The battery lasted seven or eight days between charges as I switched off notifications and the quick view feature. However, a couple of weeks ago, suddenly the battery started draining quickly. I charged it on Friday and within 72 hours the exclamation mark appeared on its screen. I try to avoid missing steps and so today I bought a (non-HR) Inspire tracker. I synchronised my HR tracker and then when setting it up a message appeared saying I already had an Inspire HR. I clicked 'yes' and continued the setup using my iPhone and whilst the Fitbit dashboard shows my daily total as 10,567, my iPhone Fitbit app shows my total as 6,853. What should I do?

I have a question about battery maintenance too. I chose an Inspire as the Inspire HR has a permanent green flashing light and my thinking was that whilst it is useful to have heart rate data I can measure it by other means (even the old skool finger on the pulse(!) - I presume I can add this data manually to my account). What really bothers me is battery drain as unless I can find a 2-hour slot where I am sitting down and not either active with steps or for that matter sleeping, which I also want to record.

Now I have a brand new tracker I would like to know: how do I maximise my Inspire's battery life? I have read recently that many batteries perform best between 25-75%. It is a strain when they are charged fully or completely drained. Does that apply to Fitbit devices? The exclamation mark on my Inpsire HR appeared around 15-20% (I think) and I would find the next suitable time (when not active or sleeping). It occurs to me that I always charged it up to 100%: should I only charge it up to 75-80%? OI definitekly want to make sure the battery lasts for much more than 11 months - ideally a few years. Many thanks for your advice.
