Inspire HR no longer works after swimming

I have had my Fitbit for awhile now and absolutely loved it, however, yesterday after swimming with my Fitbit on it no longer works. Prior to making the decision to wear my Fitbit while going for a swim, I was aware that my Fitbit is supposed to be waterproof, however, I did still reconfirm this through the Fitbit website before doing so. I was very excited to use the swimming exercise tracking function as well since I like to log my exercise, however, I am now unable to get my Fitbit to do anything despite utilizing the troubleshooting steps including charging it and holding the power button at the same time. Also after closer inspection I am able to see some condensation where the scanner is that tracks pulse. I feel very disappointed that this device is labeled as waterproof and that there are claims that it can be used in the water when this is not in fact true. Had I known this I would have been sure to keep my Fitbit out of the water.

Hi! The same thing just happened to me today, and I’ve been swimming with it on before. I left it off my wrist for a few hours. I was actually chatting with FitBit support, and I cleaned my Inspire and the charging port with an anti-fog lens cleaner wipe. To my surprise, that worked! Good luck to you!
