Inspire HR not Recording Outdoor Bike

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I read through what Fitbit said to do on previous posts on this subject, but that does not help. I have it set to record for 10 minutes or greater and I am biking for longer than 10 minutes & it still does not work. My Alta worked perfectly. My Inspire HR is a week old! Resetting, etc is not working. Why isn't it working? Can you fix this? I don't like having to manually track my exercise (that's why I got a Fitbit). Thanks!

Thanks for troubleshooting prior to contacting us. You did a great job checking the information we've suggest for this issues. Sorry to hear SmartTrack didn’t log your Outdoor Bike after you lowered the Auto-Exercise Recognition setting.

We've found that some customers have a better experience with SmartTrack if they try wearing their tracker on a different wrist. Because SmartTrack recognizes activities based on the continuous movement of your arms, in some cases, changing the wrist that you wear your tracker on can improve activity recognition.

Remember that if you change your wrist, you should also change your handedness setting. For more information on how wearing your tracker affects accuracy, please see the article: How accurate are Fitbit trackers. For instructions about updating your settings, see the article: What should I know about SmartTrack exercise detection

We hope this gets you back on track. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
