Inspire HR not charging

I bought the Inspire HR for my Mam, the charger that came with it worked initially. This gave up working shortly after its first couple of uses. She then bought a replacement charger but again no joy. Has anyone else had issues like this, is this a common issue, is the watch the issue, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
