I have had the exact same problem. Mine is only 4 months old. I left it on. The charger for hours, and it didn't charge. I changed the power sources several times. None worked (but work for other devices). I cleaned the contacts as instructed. I wasn't able to restart it. I tried several times, but it wouldn't respond to holding the button (likely because it needs to be connected to the charger?). It too has lost all charge and is unusable. Could the charging cables be bad? Mine has no sign of damage

This has been a recurring and continuing problem with my Inspire. I've cleaned all the contacts and reset multiple times. In the past when this has happened, cleaning the contacts worked or waiting until the device lost all its charge seemed to work.  I don't like to do that because I lose exercise data then. I believe this device is poorly designed for recharging. I shouldn't continue to have problems getting it to charge.

Hello.  I bought 2 Inspire HRs at the same time. Both stopped charging recently. The fault was found to be in both chargers. The black wire had corroded and separated from the negative charging pin.  It appears that the soldered joint in each had not been cleaned after the soldering, which caused the corrosion.  Planned failure by Fitbit? Who knows.  I am very disappointed that this happened in 2 chargers at around the same time, meaning I could not charge either Inspire until the charge cables were replaced.

With so many people having charge cable failures, it would be nice of Fitbit to own up and offer replacements.

TIP: With the charge cable connected to a USB port, measure the voltage at the two pins (may need a friend to help measure). 0 means it's likely a corroded wire.  You can check by separating the 2 sections of the charging cable (where the magnets are), by running your fingernails around the joint. Please PM me if you find this problem and I'll keep a tally for forwarding to Fitbit.

For the FITBIT Team:  Can we please get some stats on the number of faulty chargers? It's a shame to have the Company's reputation tarnished through one small solder joint. Thanks

I am having the same issue.  My HR Inspire is now dead.

Ask Fitbit to replace charge cable. Buy new cables from eBay.
