Inspire HR not connecting to phone's GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My inspire hr used to connect well to my phone gps but now it does not work. I start a workout in the watch and it says connected, but then in the app I either don't see a map of my workout or I see a failed map with a short line (that does not correspond to the full path of my workout). How do I fix this? Why does the watch say connected if it is not connected?

Ps: the Bluetooth of my phone is on, and the phone is close to the watch.

Thanks!

Hi @malagos, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire HR is not connecting to your phone's GPS. I totally understand how you feel about this.

Please restart your Inspire HR as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how your Fitbit device connects to GPS and it also includes some troubleshooting steps for you to try.

Finally, monitor your Inspire HR and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi, this has happened to mine as well and I was told by two customer service reps each a month apart that this is a system issue.  Since it's a system issue Fitbit does not honor warranties and will not replace the product. My Inspire HR is less than a year old and the GPS has stopped connecting to my phones gps and it's a 10th of a mile off during my runs.

Hi Fitbit Moderator, all of the troubleshooting on the fitbit community pages do not work.  I have been told it's a Fitbit software issue and replacements are not being honored under active warranties.

How do I charge and press the device at the same time, given that the
charger has two side arms that cover the button of the device?

I’ve had the same issue on 2 inspire hr’s. In both cases I had to reset the Fitbit to get it to connect to the app. Support was nice but the only solution I’ve gotten is a warrantee replacement that still has the issue. The problem came up again on my current replacement but I was told it is out of warrantee and I will need to buy another. For now I am looking at other companies. products as a replacement.
