Inspire HR not connecting with my iPad or PC

After getting my inspire hp I spent hours trying to get my ipad and/or my pc to find it and get up and running.  After reading all there was on the forum plus another hour with a chat person doing the very things I had already been doing it is still not paired with either of my machines.  My case has gone to a higher up.  Does anyone have any new ideas about how to get things going with this tracker?????  I have restarted everything that has been on the forum about getting the set up-reset the tracker, tried doing things in different orders, restarting my machines, etc.  I love the features this tracker has but they seemed to have not gotten it right since so many of us are having problems.  My other gripes are that the magnet to hold the tracker (it won’t stay together in. My vehicle which is the time that works best for me to charge it) and the charger together is not strong enough and the cord is so short it is hard to use when you live in an old house without many outlets.

Nice to see that you're digging into the Forums @Artym, let me give you a warm welcome to our Community. 🍃

I'm glad to see that you got the new Inspire HR. Thanks for the steps that you've tried with our support team to connect it with your Fitbit account. First of all, I'd like to know what model of iPad you're using to set it up. Please confirm that it is in the list of compatible devices. Please also confirm if you're getting an error message when you're connecting it, or if you got until the end but then it stops with no information at all.

In the mean time I'd suggest these steps with your iPad:

  1. Please confirm that your Fitbit App and phone are up to date first, then you can follow these steps
  2. Turn off any other device that you may have around using Bluetooth connected with your iPad
  3. Force quit the App and turn off your iPad
  4. Open Fitbit App, go to Account (upper right corner) > Delete Fitbit tracker from the Account
  5. Open the Bluetooth Setting on your iPad and delete Fitbit tracker from there too
  6. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure Inspire HR is not listed there
  7. Restart your Fitbit a couple of times and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up your Fitbit tracker back
  8. Turn on notifications

If you want to use your computer, you can try the same steps. In case that your computer doesn't have native Bluetooth, please use a wireless sync dongle or a Bluetooth adapter for PC (Bluetooth 4.0) USB Wireless Dongle. Turn on Fitbit Classic mode on the Fitbit app on your computer and try setting up again.

If you're using a native Bluetooth, remember to remove all other devices connected to the Bluetooth on your computer and from the account and set up the Inspire HR.

About the issues with the charging cord, please confirm that your following the steps suggested here: How do I charge my Fitbit device? In case that it is a faulty charger, we might have to check your warranty options with our team.

Let me know how it goes.

followed the above steps on both pc and iPad Pro.  Not working.  The tracker is fully charged but the connection with the toggle is very light  and not a great set up.

Did all of the above steps over and over and finally got connected.  Now I can no longer put any of my other Bluetooth items on without loosing my Fitbit.   I do understand how to charge my Inspire.  My point is that the magnetic pull between the charge cable and the Inspire is not very strong.

i am disappointed in my Inspire-poor magnet pull between cable and Inspire, very poor programming for initial setup, wish the option were there to turn the text on its side as the symbols are very big but can’t see the numbers that go with the symbol without reading glasses which I don’t take outside.  I had read somewhere that the Inspire and Alta had interchangeable straps which was disappointing to discover was not the case.  All in all I will not recommend this product to anyone.  It needs major changes in order to be user friendly.  Should you update the product and cable it would be nice to offer those of us who bought this early version of Inspire a special deal when we turn in this version.  It feels like we are the testers for a new product that just is not ready for release.  Will save my money and go for a different product.

I am currently waiting for fitbit to contact me about my brand new Inspire. Mine was 1 day old, and went to a straight line display. Tried jumping through all of the hoops like the last post, and then it went to displaying a tiny clock and underneath, it says please choose a different clock. When I go and try to do that, it tells me that the tracker is currently downloading a clock. Also, my ipad is constantly sendin g me notifications that it is unable to update the fitbit app. I have tried a ton of remedies for that too, with no luck.

Aside from that, I really wish my alta hr hadn’t died. The previous commenter was right. The charging cord is not strong enough to hold the tracker and is WAY too short. I plug mine in, attach the tracker, and when I try to lay it down, it comes unhooked. Very poor design....I have been a devoted Fitbit user for years, and usually enjoy the upgrades, but so far, this one is an epic fail.

You cannot be serious.  My flip phone has bluetooth, my iMac keyboard has bluetooth, iPad has bluetooth, my television has bluetooth.  Yo want everything turned off except the device and the Fitbit.  You need a design for the real world.

Followed these instructions exactly and still can't get my Inspire HR to pair with my iPad (which it has always been able to sync with in the past).  Very annoying - I've been a devoted Fitbit user over the years but am becoming increasingly frustrated with the latest updates that are NOT helpful at all.  At least 3 issues have come up in the past month or so that will make me look seriously at other brands of trackers next time around.  A perfectly good device has been turned into a complete nuisance by these recent software tweaks!😠

I kept complaining to Fitbit about my inspire tracker, they finally sent a new tracker...no band... after the tracker would not update the firmware.I had the same syncing issues...still have them with the new one. I gave up. Usually my non approved android phone will sync easier than my approved ipad.
