Went for a walk with a friend today. Both wearing fitbits on our non-dominant arm, both pushing strollers, walking side by side. Her watch counted 1400 more steps than mine. What?? Could mine be to tight,or is it my settings?

Fitbit often has trouble detecting steps when pushing stroller (or shopping cart or holding treadmill hand rail) because the arm is held still and does not swing back and forth as in normal walking.
You can usually get better step count by putting in a pocket or somehow clipped to clothing, but at the expense of getting heart rate data during that time.

I see.
But isn't it strange that there is such a big difference between the two watches?

Does seem strange, but maybe different strollers or different walking styles; i .e. one person having enough hand motion with each step to be detected but the other person's wrist held steadier.
