I walked 30,273 steps on Friday September 4th. I didn’t earn my 30,000 step badge.

Hi there @Hilpipre8141, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconvenience you had with your steps and challenges. I understand how you must be feeling.

As @Odyssey13 mentioned above, badges are designed to reward your step-based activities that are recorded while you wear your Fitbit device. Manually logged activities are intended to help you track activities that are based on effort rather than steps or distance, so they don't count toward step badges.

Regarding manually logging your data, note that we recommend to do so if you forgot to wear your Fitbit device or you want to record an activity that isn't detected automatically.

However, I've seen you got in touch with our Support Team after your last post and they already helped you with this.

My Fitbit Inspire HR didn’t track two different activities on Friday September 4th. So I entered them manually like the forum said to. But they don’t count towards steps or activity minutes. So I feel cheated about losing steps and activity points.

Hi @Hilpipre8141  did you manually log any of the steps?

Yes I did cause that’s what the help line said to do when my Fitbit didn’t track my activity.

I'm merging your two posts together, as it seems the two are related.

You might want to read this - click to go there. Logged activities do not count towards your badges.

Then why didn’t the help line tell me this. I’m new to Fitbit. I just did what he told me to do. So if it would count why wasn’t I told that when I asked.

The community forums are full of Fitbit users, but we're not customer support. I'm not sure what you were told or what you actually logged for your activities. I've notified a Fitbit Moderator to stop by and assist you.
