Inspire HR not receiving notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since I got my new phone (honor 20) last week my inspire hr is no longer automatically syncing or receiving text messages, Facebook messages, whatsapp messages or notifying me of incoming calls, I have restarted the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app, and restarted the watch. Can you please help if there is anything else I can do.

Hi @Linzg1982 welcome to the Community Forums! Thanks for sharing the steps that you've with your Honor 20.

Please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified in this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? You can also check the instructions to reconnect your notifications:  Why are notifications delayed or missing?

I'd like to mention this model is not in the list of tested devices. We're currently receiving feedback about different devices that are not in the list and our team is working hard to add more devices to the list. But since this model of phone is not there we can't assure the Fitbit App will be working flawless for every feature.

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Hi

Thank you for coming back to me. I just can't understand why it won't work
when it is on an android platform.

I have tried all the suggestions that you gave, however it still doesn't
work. I rely a lot on the notifications on my watch at work as I can see if
anyone is needing me urgently.

Many thanks
Lindsay

My Inspire HR has not been  sending notifications from my iPhone either.....just spent a heck of a time on the phone with Tech support for them to tell me it’s a software problem and I will have to wait (probably for a long time) until they get a new update for the app. I have not been able to reach customer service to see if they are offering some sort of compensation for this.

Can I also point out that my sister has a Huawei P20, it worked at the start when she got it but recently has stopped syncing and receiving notifications

I was in contact with support for same issue.  I have had fitbit products since 2014 and loved their customer support and product so much I frequently updated to new products.  I have had this LG style phone for about 2 years I believe and all my fitbit that used with it worked.  INCLUDING my current InspireHR.  Then they updated firmware in November/December and now I have to uninstall-reinstall, keep refreshing, keep doing so many steps to get a sync.  Here is what support basically told me.

To bad so sad - here are the TOS you agreed to which says customer responsible for using compatible phones.  When you look at their Android list of phones it is incredibly small.  It worked 100% glitch free before update but I am told that because it was not on list its not on Fitbit that their changes ruined it for me.  So just trust we are SOL unless they do another update that happens to make it better again.

I am so disappointed just because I was such a promoter of this product, spent many dollars for years on the company and probably got them dozens of customers with my promoting them to be told to bad so sad, look at our TOS..

Hi @Linzg1982 y @Angienunya thank you for participating on the Community Forums. Welcome @Lwebster161!

@Linzg1982 we're currently receiving feedback about different devices that are not in the list of tested devices. And our team is working hard to add as many devices as they can but in this case, we can't assure the Fitbit App will be working flawless with this model.

@Lwebster161  Thanks for letting me know that you're not able to see your notifications on your Fitbit Ionic. Your iPhone 6 Plus is a supported device, so it should be working. What is the OS version of your iPhone? Some users have reported notifications issues after updating to iOS 13. You can try the steps here: Why are notifications delayed or missing?

@Angienunya thank you for your loyalty over the years. Sorry to hear about the problems with your Versa Lite. Thank you for taking the time to confirm this information with our support team. We're are working really hard to have more options for you. If you can test your Fitbit Inspire HR with a compatible device, it'd be great. So we confirm the next step for you.

Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

I am also extremely disappointed that no notifications are coming through to my phone for the last few months (iphone 7 plus) I have tried all troubleshooting steps more than once and called support who advised me to 'wait' for the next update (which may or may not fix it) when I asked when the app update will be sent I was told 'we usually release one every month' . ughhhhhhh so frustrating! I was just gifted the inspire hr for my birthday and I was so excited thinking this model will work. Nope . still no texts or message notifications and I am up to date on all and once again tried all troublshooting. it says right on the box as a selling feature SMART PHONE NOTIFICATIONS. why are these still being sold with this functionality when I am reading hundreds of posts with different phones having the same issue! I would like a full refund for BOTH of my devices !

I just got my Inspire HR for Christmas. Set-up went fairly smooth with my Samsung Galaxy S10e. I was receiving notifications and everything. I wanted to try a different watch face and that is when it all went downhill. I now don't receive any notifications and have troubleshot a few times. Any advice?
