Inspire HR not receiving text notifications

I recently purchased an inspire hr and for some reason am not receding text notifications. I receive notifications for phone calls, so I’m not quite sure what is going on. I already tried removing the inspire from my account and then re-adding it, I’ve reset the inspire, I have reset the notifications in the app, and I’ve restarted my iPhone. I also have selected all three alerts in my notification settings on my phone. Is there anything else I could try?

Hmm, that is interesting that you can still receive calls but not texts. Are you using the default iOS texts or an alternate app? It might also be a good idea to forget your Inspire HR in your Bluetooth settings and re-pair it.

I cannot recieve texts either and I cannot shut off the screen light either. I have gone back and forth with two reps from fitbit who were both unable to assist me. The most recent one told me its a glitch their specialists are trying to fix.

I had already tried your suggestions as well as the troubleshooting suggestions. 

And I am using the default iOS texts. I’m not sure what else to do.

Same issue here also. Using iPhone 8 plus. I receive call notification with only one vibration. And no notification att all for all kind of messages...

I had to return a charge 3SE due to the inaccurate step count and now this notification issue...

So I tried everything again and nothing worked. I went and exchanged my Fitbit for a new one thinking maybe the one I had was faulty. New one again only receives phone call notifications and not text notifications.

Same issue here. I also have an iphone 8plus. I receive a vibration for phone calls and business skype messages, but not regular text. I've tried everything to get it to work. I'm also having the issue where I cannot shut off the light. The functionality doesn't work. Sounds like from another post that they're working on these issues. Other than those couple things, I love the look and feel of the Inspire HR. Would love to to see these couple things resolved!

I can't get texts or calls on my Inspire HR. I thought it wasn't compatible with my Google Pixel 3, but based on the comments here it's a known issue. Super frustrating.

Not sure if this will help you. I have a iPhone 8 (not a plus). I went to my settings and checked the Bluetooth setting. Under bluetooth setting, I saw I still had my old Charge HR2 showing and another Inspire HR (my first one wouldn't vibrate). I deleted all of these and then rebooted my iPhone. Then I went in the fitbit app and checked the notifications. A message came up and said I needed to link my fitbit and phone. After I did that I started to get text messages. Good Luck!

I've read that others are having the same issue, but I cannot find a solution that is working for me. I just bought my Inspire HR and LOVE it -- except I am not receiving text message notifications. It's odd because I'm receiving calls and all other notifications that I have chosen to receive. I have tried everything that has been suggested - turn off bluetooth, remove/forget Inspire from my bluetooth, reboot my phone and the fitbit -- nothing. Any idea as to how I can make this work? I have an iPhone 7 with updated software (12.2).

Just got mine a few days ago and I’m having the same issues as well. No text or email notifications but I get call notifications. Very disappointed. Planning to return it today.

I figured this issue out myself. I have an iphone so if u have one try this. In my notifications on my iphone i had to make sure not just banners were turned on. The show in notification center must be on too. Once i did this it started working. Unfortunately the fitbit people couldn’t tell me this i had to play with it myself.

Thank you.   I went into settings and made sure Notification Center was selected and banners was selected and it started working.

I made sure that was set as well since I saw it on another forum. Still does work. Guess I just have to deal with this until it is fixed at some point.

I think the phone has to be set the same way it was set when it was brand new.
