Inspire HR not recording heart rate/steps and won't hold a charge

About a month ago my fitbit stopped recording my heart rate and steps accurately. It would then periodically change the time and date to a random time and date. The battery then stopped holding a charge. It won't reboot and doing the battery drain test hasn't helped. I get the full battery icon and then it  shows the low battery icon within an hour or so.

This is my second fitbit in a year. Any suggestions?

@satella It's great to see you in the Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not recording your steps and heart rate or holding its charge and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. For the battery issue, try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life. The restart should also help with the steps detection. 

 

Regarding the heart rate you can clean the back of your device (the sensor area) with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

I have completed the above guidance on my fitbit and the issues have not been resolved. 

How can I get a replacement arranged as the troubleshooting is not resolving my issues.

 

A fast response would be appreciated as the problems have been going on for a few months.
