Inspire HR not recording sleep or heart rate properly

I’m really fed up.

Only had it 2 months.

Heart rate monitor is very inconsistent. Keeps cutting off I use the fixes suggested and it works for a bit then goes off again.

Now the Bluetooth connection keeps dropping. Wasn’t happening before.

Isn’t monitoring sleep or hr properly. What’s the point?

Its currently an annoying cheap watch.

@JeffMindlin A warm welcome to our Community!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not working as it should. What are you doing when you notice the heart rate inconsistencies? As you mentioned that you already followed our recommendations the only think I can add is that you try using a sport wristband while exercising to remove excess sweat from the wrist area. This will allow your device to get a better reading.

Regarding sleep, your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.

Finally for syncing issues, these may happen for several reasons (interference from other devices, not a stable link with your phone or computer, etc.). Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

I've had mine for a week and had the same problem.  Although since I have an iPhone7 and have been running vs 13 from the beginning, I have done all the fixes they suggested.

Now Im getting on the phone and they will walk you through it.  This is my second Fitbit device, my last one an Alta I had for 4 years no problems, I wanted to upgrade to this one.  They are happy to help you with your Fitbit.

No I don't work for them, just a happy consumer.
