Inspire HR not registring high heart rate

Hi.

I've bought my wife an Inspire HR for our exercises. However, it doesn't correctly track her heart rate correctly in high intensity exercies.

We usually exercise together and for low to medium intensity our heart rates are mostly the same (I use an Apple Watch). Howerver, for high intensity exercises if my watch willregisters around 150 BPM the inspire HR drops to maybe 90.

Is there anything we can to to make the inspire HR register the correct heart rate?

Hi @mlidal If you are comparing your heart rate to your wifes, it will not be accurate as her physiology is different to yours. Try weari g eachnothere watches and compare the results, or manually check her heart rate against the Inspire. It is possible the Inspire is not working correctly, but also possible her heart rate is different to yours, or that she has anatomy that doesnt lean to good results from optical HR sensors.

She could also try restarting her Inspire several times in case it is a glitch, and tightening it prior to exercose or wearing it slightly higher up her arm. Also if she sweats a lot she could try wearing  antiperspiant on her wrist when she exercises.

Hi, and thanks for the reply. I tried wearing both devices (one on each arm) and comparing the result.

For low to medium heart rate (up to about 110) the devices recorded roughly the same heart rate, but when I tried a sprint the apple watch recorded up to 160 while the fitbit recorded 90. When relaxing afterwards the fitbit would register a higher heart rate (up to about 110 again)

You also need to know your actual heart rate (manually measured) to see where that lies. It does sound as if the Inspire is not measuring higher heart rates accurately though. If your actual heart rate is well different from the Inspires then Id suggest you contact Support and see what they say.
