Inspire HR not showing my active minutes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just received my Inspire HR 2 days ago and have had 2 different problems.  The first one was fixed.  Today, I took 2 different 2.5 mile walks up multiple hills.  It has given me 0 activity minutes.  It should have been at least 60 minutes.

I chatted with Fitbit support. They had me reboot it and take another walk.  I just got back, still 0 minutes.  I am getting frustrated with the Inspire.  I have had many different Fitbits over the years and have never had problems.

Yesterday, on my walk it gave me active minutes.  So it worked yesterday, but not today!

Thanks for popping by the forums @marwhitney! Thanks for reaching out our support team and for trying the steps suggested by them.

That's odd! If you're doing activities in the same way, basically same intensity and duration, your Active Minutes shouldn't vary a lot. Check this information in regards of Active Minutes are gain and follow these steps:

  1. Force quit the App and turn off your phone
  2. Open Fitbit App, go to Account (upper right corner) > Delete Fitbit tracker from the Account
  3. Open the Bluetooth Setting on your phone and delete Fitbit Inspire HR from there too
  4. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure your Fitbit is not there
  5. Restart your tracker  a couple of times and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up your Fitbit tracker back

Also I would recommend checking the information for previous activities during different days, to see exactly what are the activities that are giving you Active Minutes. You can go to the Fibit.com Dashboard on the computer or on the browser in your phone, click on Log > Activities > Choose the date and choose to see calories.

Your Active Minutes will be shown with the calories in high intensity level as green lines, as you can see in the picture. Moderate intensity level are shown in yellow lines.

It’s working today. Yesterday the tech support person told me other people were having the same problems.
I also had over 15k steps, Fitbit only showed 10k. The tech guy actually saw my correct # of steps.
I did everything both tech people told me to do. They said it was a glitch on fitbits end.

I am having the same issue with my tracker. Have tried disconnecting from Bluetooth. Forgetting the device in my settings. Restarting my phone and then pairing the tracker device again and it is still off. Is there a way to manually add activity minutes that are not showing in my dashboard?

I have had my fitbit inspire for about a month now and have noticed that its ability to track information consistently is sporadic. I've noticed over the course of this week that it is not showing active minutes even though I've walked at least 45 minutes for the last three days this week. In addition I noticed that it is not notifying me when I get a text message and it continues to notify me of the same message over and over again throughout the day, even if the event has passed & I've closed it out. Does anyone know how to fix these issues?

Hello,

Thank you for this long detailed advise. I’ll be happy to keep you posted with the exact same issue that started with my Inspire HR completely out of no where.

I have my Fitbit since August. Everything was working just fine! And then one day from 100+ active minutes, the next day was 61, the day after until today it stands on 0.

after 5 days of 0, I realised it’s not coming back and started researching to find endless similar posts on this issue.

As an answer to your final words in your post, It was always related to “walk” exercise.

I tried restart many times both the phone and Fitbit. Unpaired and setup again. Completely erased user data from the Fitbit and from the bluetooth settings. More restarts. Changed settings. Lowered the 15min recognition setting to 10. Switched-off the auto recognition of exercise then back on.

I think the worse is when I actually recorded 6 minutes of exercise on the Fitbit!! Manually recorded and It never came through!

I’m a software engineer and know how to think in terms of a technical level, yet I see no support from Fitbit in that sense.

My latest attempt was to remove all 3rd party apps sync but I have zero hopes at this point.

If you think there’s anything else I might have missed I’ll be happy to know before ditching this product to something more reliable.

Hello,

I have my Fitbit since August. Everything was working just fine and then one day from 100+ active minutes, the next day it was 61 (less than 100 for the first time) and the day after until today it stands on zero.

after 5 days of zero active minutes, I realised it’s not coming back and started researching to find endless similar posts on this issue.

I tried all the ideas I could find and nothing worked.

I restarted countless times both my phone and the Fitbit tracker.

Unpaired them and set-up the connection again several times.

Completely erased user data from the Fitbit and from the Bluetooth settings.

More restarts.

Changed settings. Lowered the 15min recognition setting to 10.

Switched-off the auto-recognition of exercise then back on.

Even drained the battery from the tracker didn't help.

I think the worse is when I actually recorded exercises on the Fitbit - Manually recorded and It never came through! I tried that twice.
Removed all 3rd party apps sync didn't help.

I’m a software engineer and know how to think in terms of a technical level, yet I see no support from Fitbit in that sense, just random advice, with no proper technical support.

I have zero hopes at this point. If anyone can advise on something I might have forgotten to try, I’d be happy to know, before I ditch this product for something more reliable.

Regards,

Shay

I have the same issue, 0 active minutes tracked for the past 2 days. I did all the steps enumerated above. The fixes don't work. Why should I have to look for my calories burned as a substitute? You have an Active Minutes setting. Fix it, and maybe consider making it possible to edit the minutes for the days the app malfunctioned. I know I have 20 active minutes after my morning treadmill walk. I should have at least 30 for moving furniture yesterday.

I was planning to upgrade my device. I will be looking a different brand.
