Inspire HR not showing quick settings

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I've had my Fitbit inspire hr for almost a week now and whilst setting it up initially, the press and hold of the side button brought up the quick settings list and showed the battery remaining.

Now press and hold of the side button does nothing except make the tracker vibrate one time and shows the clock face.

Can anyone tell me how to reactivate the quick settings and show the battery please?

Thanks

Hi @FiFiMc Id suggeat you try restarting the Inspire several times. Hopefully that will fix the long press of the button. Please come back if you continue to have problems.

Thank you got the reply.

I have tried restarting several times, following the guide linked, but even that doesn't do anything. Long press still only brings on the clock face and vibrates the Fitbit one time.

Welcome on board @FiFiMc! Thanks for already troubleshooting this issue about the Quick Settings not showing up on your Inspire HR. Nice way to go!

Press the button, time/date show, hold the button and the battery and a small light bulb appears. If there is no line through the light bulb the Quick View is active.

Can you also please confirm you've restarted your Inspire HR by following the steps below?:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Thanks for you help @NellyG!

I'm looking forward to your response.

Thank you for this information, but as mentioned above, I have tried this and it does not restart the Fitbit.

Press and hold does nothing but display/turn off the time.

Welcome to the Community Forums @SunsetRunner. Thanks for trying to restart your Inspire HR.

Since the restart didn't work, please check on the Fitbit app if your device is still syncing. If so, change the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display. Don't worry if you cannot see anything on the display by now, this process is done through the Fitbit app.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome, I'll be around and glad to further assist you.

I just got my Inspire HR today and I had the same problem with the quick menu not showing up when I was holding the button.

The clock face I had it set to was “just time”, I changed the clock face to “simple stats” and it now works!

I prefer the other clock face so hopefully Fitbit will be able to fix this bug!

Also, is there a way to remove some of the features from the watch navigation? I would like to remove some of the things like water tracker and the weight tracker off of my watch since I don’t use those features?

@meganmayers Welcome on board. I'm glad to hear that after switching to Simple Stats clock face, your device started working. Woman Wink

In regards to the apps you want to remove, please note that starter apps on some Fitbit devices can't be removed, including:

Alarms
Exercise

Water

Weight
Settings
Today
Weather

Let me know if there's anything else I may do to assist you with.

I had the same problem as the OP. Pressing the button on the side had no effect, and the watch wouldn't/couldn't restart.

Changing the clock face however seemed to 'reset' the watch and now it is back to normal.

Was then able to return to my original clock face without issue.

I seem to also be having this same problem. Just started this morning.  I did sync up once, but it says it was 15 minutes ago. All I get is the clock face.as well, even after holding the button on the side.

I am the OP, this still happens periodically to my inspire HR. But it corrects itself if I put it on charge until fully charged.

I just tired restarting it...I didn't think it worked.  I walked away to start working.. just came back to recheck & it seems to be okay now. I appreciate the reply.

Hi Suzanne,

When it happens I always pop my Fitbit on charge until the smiley face appears and it resets itself.

Charging always fixes it.
