Inspire HR not tracking active minutes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I noticed a few days ago that my fitbit stopped tracking my active minutes. 0 every day for the past week. I mowed the lawn and it only took note of my heart rate.

Yesterday, I went on a bike ride and again no active minutes. Heart rate is displayed and when I click into exercise the bike ride comes up but not in my actice minutes. Didn't update my cals or distance either. Instead, it mapped my gps for the first time ever.

Only got my fitbit in February. Quite disappointed. How do I fix this?

@Shmeepers Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not recording your active minutes and not updating your calories and distance. Active minutes are granted for the most intense activity your tracker detects this won't equal the amount of time you do an exercise. For example if you go for a walk and do this for an hour but decide to actually jog or run for 20 minutes of that hour, your hour long activity will be detected but most likely will be awarded only 20 active minutes as these were the intense ones. You can read more about active minutes and how they are calculated here so you can compare it with your activity.

Regarding your data not updating, not sure why this happened but you can try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for responding. I'll read the article now but I must add that since I posted this, my fitibit hasn't recorded 1 active minute.

Maybe I changed a setting somewhere by accident, I don't know. Hopefully, I'll discover something in the article that I may be doing wrong

@Shmeepers thank you for your reply.

Another thing that you can check is if your account is linked to a third party app linked MyFitnessPal or Strava as these may transfer data that could overwrite the data recorded by your tracker.

Keep me posted.

Hi again,

Still no active minutes. my distance isn't being recorded on the app properly either, among other things.

It records my stats but doesnt register them properly.

Hard to explain but for example in today's cycle:

When I click exercise, it shows the distance travelled, calories, time taken etc.

But when I go back to the 'home page', it doesnt link up that data to the home page so my calories and distance don't include my cycle and it's forever saying 0 active minutes.

From reading other forums threads, other people with Samsungs seem to be having trouble. I have an A71. Considering how big the samsung market is, I find it incredibly shocking but I'll have to live with it. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future update.

My Fitbit Inspire is doing the same thing and I'm getting ready to throw it away . . . crap support;  maybe its this, maybe its that . . . 😞

I am having a similar issue. I have an IPhone that tracks my steps and it says way more. I was out walking and got about 7000+ steps in which my fitbit recorded. When I came home the number was down to 3500 on the ap and the fitbit itself.

I do use Withings healthmate ap too and the info is logged correctly there. What gives?

☆Update☆

I can only guess that it's because of the newest update but my calories, active minutes and km etc are coming up on the dashboard/home screen now.

Happy that it seems to be fixed.
