I have had my device for about 2 weeks. I love the device when it works. It will accurately track my exercises and then track some and not others. I have restarted, checked settings, called Fitbit (they just read and reread scripted responses) and have read many forum responses for trouble shooting. The most consistent problem is: it use to track my jog and run (I jog and move to fast walk) as two exercise events as it should and had for several days. Now it only tracks my run and not the rest of my routine (fast walking). YES I have adjusted the duration period before it starts to log at 10 minutes even though my routine is no less than 20 minutes per session.
I am sending it back unless someone has the magic response. Any suggestions for a device that works better?
For a fist time customer, I am wary that so many people have similar problems and no solutions. I am considering never trying Fitbit again.

@MichelleLG It's good that the community is growing!
Let me help you with your Inspire HR not detecting your jogging activity. Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.
Let me know how it goes.

It tracked my runs but not always my walk. My walks usually get logged automatically as elliptical because I move my arms for maximum walk exercise. That did not matter to me. It always tracked my run and then sometimes did not always log my walks even though my routines were the same. None of the responses have helped me. I have returned the Inspire HR device and am trying out the Charge 4. I LOVE the app and devices but not the tracking glitch.
