Inspire HR not tracking/ not keeping a charge

I recently updated my HR Inspire and now it won’t track my heart rate. It does not blink anymore, nor does it show the normal settings as before. The turn on heart rate icon is gone from the device options. The device shoes a resting heart rate from days ago but no new reading now for a few days. Tried restarting the device following the troubleshooting but it did not work. Also noticing that it won’t keep a charge for a whole day, even after restarting for a few days. charged it to 100% and 4 hours later it’s at 30%

Hi, @Nannners , when you say you tried restarting and “it did not work” do you mean it did not fix the issue, or it did not restart.

 

In either case I would definitely as a first step try the restart procedure again:

 

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

As you will see the advice is to hold the button for 5 seconds.  If the device is not restarting then it can often help to try holding the button for much longer - up to 20-30 seconds.

 

It is possible that the restart could also fix the battery drain issue, as a restart will shut down any background operations that could be causing this.

How, yes confirming, i have tried all that and it did not fix any of the aforementioned issues. Like i said, i followed the trouble shooting directions and performed a hard restart to completion, with the finall smiley face multiple times throughout the week. Nothing has changed and the issues persist. Also, I just woke up to a dead fitbit even though I charged it to 100% right before bed.
