I have had a Alta for years. Worked great. Then it stopped tracking sleep accurately. I figured it was time for a new one. Bought an inspire hr...surpise! One week in and it’s not tracking sleep accurately either. Sometimes it shows me sleeping in the middle of the day. Or it shows me getting up at 3am. Frustrated. Would it even help to return as its one week old?

@Frogcreek A warm welcome to our Community!
Let me help you with your Inspire HR not recording your sleep correctly. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. The opposite might be true also as inactivity from watching TV or a movie may lead to sleep detection. You can try wearing your device on your dominant hand to increase the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.
