Inspire HR not tracking sleep stages

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This happened a few weeks after I got my fitbit. I reinstalled the app on my phone and it worked for a couple of weeks but now it is either not recording the sleep, or getting error message and then not recording the sleep stages. Minor Samsung phone update a few days prior to this happening. Any thoughts?

@Donnellys Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Thanks for the information. I di all those suggestions but it is still not giving me sleep stages and twice this week it could not sync the data. I have upgraded the app as well. Any other suggestions?

@Donnellys Thanks for getting back. I would like you to go the Fitbit app and tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern and attach a screenshot of the message you received.

Regarding the syncing issue you're experiencing, please try the troubleshooting mentioned in this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? Could you let me know the phone that you're using?

Keep me posted.
