My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

I have rechecked my records. I get up and it seems the first portion of the sleep is going missing or replaced by the second part of the sleep. So do i need sync before going back to sleep?

Happened again to me last night.  I hope Fitbit is seeing these posts and working on the solution.

They have now opened a case study on mine although I’m still not sure if it’s mine or the Inspire HR as a whole that they are trying to fix as they only send stock answers when I ask.

Had a 2 hour nap and it seemed to track it right, minus the detailed sleep pattern which require 3h+.

So my Inspire tracked my sleep stages the 1st night I had it.  I tried everything that has been listed on this thread with no avail.  Then two nights ago it tracked my sleep stages and I thought hurray it’s fixed!   But I got excited to quickly as last night it again did not track my sleep stages.  I hope this problem gets resolved soon,

Hello,

I am in exactly the same position as you. I upgraded from Flex 2 to Inspire HR. But it’s not giving sleep stages.

My previous fitness band was a jawbone UP3 which did all the sleep stages & had a fantastic app.

I bought a Fitbit Flex 2 when the company disbanded.

i hope you hear of a solution to our issue & I’ll keep checking in.

Thanks Louise

So  after 2 frustrating weeks where my Inspire tracked my sleep stages two out of 14 days.  Both on Saturdays.  I was mystified as to what was going on and what I did differently on those days. (Note: it always tracked my sleep on all days but I would not get the detailed sleep stages that I really wanted).

I am not sure I found the solution but I have had 3 days in a row where the Inspire tracked detailed sleep stages.  What seems to have worked for me, believe it or not, was loosening the band before I go to bed!  I don't like the band moving around on my wrist when I am out and about so I tighten it in the morning when I get up.  But loosening it just one notch seemed to do it.  Keep your fingers crossed that this isn't a fluke!  I will give it another couple of days to see but thought I'd share in case it works for others.  Good luck!

Edit:****:

So I got excited but my solution seemed to work the 1st 4 nights BUT the last 4 nights back to the simplified sleep tracking

Extremely Frustrated

Hello, thank you for your reply.

Unbelievably  after reading up on things yesterday including the community postings I logged out of the Fitbit app & then back in & it tracked my sleep correctly showing my deep sleep etc.

I’m glad loosening your band worked I hope it’s not a fluke & continues to work for you.

Sleep tracker never records first part of sleep

Mine is really out. It isn’t showing more than 3-4 hours a night! I’m not getting all the different sleep information.

Disappointing!

Everything else is working perfectly!

I have been closely monitoring and trying different fixes for several weeks.

Its the same problem every night- it misses the first couple of hours of sleep so when I sync in the morning I have to edit the sleep log and put in the actual time I went to bed. Then it recalculates and gives me a fairly accurate record including sleep stages.  This means I actually have to write down the time I put my head on the pillow which is disruptive and kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a device.  At this point FitBit should really stop promoting the sleep tracking function for Inspire. It’s deceptive,

oh and by the way, the above only works for me when I have removed the “sensitive” setting that was incorrectly recommended by customer service.

Thank you for your reply.

I’ve still got mine set on sensitive so I’ll change that tonight.

Its so frustrating as I’d waited to upgrade my Fitbit so I could have the sleep stages.

I really hope that Fitbit resolve the problems soon.

I manually changed my time of “head on the pillow “ when I woke up this morning.

I always click on and manually put Fitbit that I’m going to bed. Might not do it tonight & see what happens.

Thank you.

@Louise154 , if you always manually tell your Fitbit to start sleep, that is exactly why you are not getting sleep stages!

You must allow the Fitbit to detect automatically if you want the detailed sleep stats.

Don’t do anything in the app.  Just let your Inspire HR do its thing automatically.  Let us know how it goes tomorrow!

I have always allowed Fitbit to detect my sleep automatically without
intervening and it never picks up the first fur hours of sleep.

@Notts , this is a single thread, with people with a number of different issues.

Some are easily solved: if one starts sleep manually, "sleep stages" will not be recorded.  That is a simple answer to a previous poster's issue.

Yours may very well be more complicated.  Without more information, it is difficult to judge.

It's great to see you around @SamMeme. Thanks for keeping us updated. I would like you to make sure that you've followed the advise posted by our Moderator here. Also, try changing the device settings to sensitive.

Welcome to the Community @TeresaAnn84, @Emco, @Lloyd, @Bethanyp. @bwa35, @LilBigFoot@Notts. Thanks for the details mentioned. Can you confirm that you've checked the details here? If you have but your sleep is still not recorded normally, please change the Inspire HR settings to sensitive.

Thanks for getting back @LJ31, @rsaugust@PAT7776@eomit@Louise154. Thanks for the troubleshoot that you've tried. Fitbit is aware of it and is working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate and look forward to getting you back on track.

Hey @CindiLi. Thanks for sharing your experience with Inspire. Hope you can give Fitbit another opportunity in the future.

Regarding your question about the wristbands @LJ31Wristbands for other Fitbit devices don’t fit Fitbit Inspire and Inspire HR devices. The wristbands and clip accessory for these devices are available in a variety of colors. The wristbands come in peg and loop style or buckle style. Note: The clip accessory is for Inspire only and isn’t designed to fit Inspire HR.

Hey @Lloyd2. Regarding your inquiry about returning your Inspire HR. I've shared your post with our Support team, they will continue assisting you with this.

Hey @lbgkbg. Thanks for sharing your experience with our Support team.

It's great to see you around @Gonzo3008. You don't necessarily need to sync before going to sleep. Once, you sync your tracker it should update the information properly. Please confirm that you're doing this steps to track your sleep

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Inspire HR is not working properly to capture sleep. It’s a bit all over the map. Any many timed Is 2 hours off from when I go to sleep.  my last 3 fitbits were accurate never had this problem with charge3 or Alta hr.  I wear it snug so there’s something wrong with the device. Is there a fix?  Thanks

if you have already used it in the app will the fitbit work properly if you stop using the sleep/wake in the app and just let it do its thing?
