My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

Thank You for your response.  I apologize if I came across as a little "short tempered" in my response, it was not my intention.  My frustration lies solely with Fitbit and their complete lack of response.

I’m sorry so many if you are still having such problems. I have to say it is not the best fitness tracker I’ve ever had.

Apart from not having correct times & therefore incorrect sleep data mine seems to be working ok.

Main points. Wear it slightly up your wrist tight  enough not to move. Have the heart rate working & allow it to work out the data.

Not sure about all the issues around the swimming lack of lengths recorded.

Frustrating that Fitbit haven’t fixed all the glitches. I don’t reply to all posts as I don’t always have the time. But I hope yours will eventually be working to a standard your happy with x

I think we’re all frustrated. I have so many problems with Fitbit’s response or I should say lack of response to ALL the inspire problems. The sleep app not working properly is just one of many problems. Fitbit seems to think if they ignore the problems they’ll go away.

My Inspire stopped detecting my sleep after the first 3 days. At first I then started to record manually but that’s stupid cos it is supposed to do its thing. So I stopped manual recording the past three days and nothing has happened. Fitbit inspire is not recording my sleep at all. And my Fitbit Inspire is only 2 weeks old!

If I were you I’d send it back right away. When my inspire was pretty new I called customer service and said I was thinking about sending it back due to all the problems, the rep said I should be patient because the engineers were working on the problems.  When I told her I didn’t want to run out of time to return it when I was having so many problems (not just sleep tracking) she said oh don’t worry about that Fitbit stands by their products, we will fix the problems or let you return it. She lied, when I’d finally had enough and decided to return it they said it was too late. 6 months later I’m having MORE problems. Not one problem has been fixed. I was played for a fool and as a result I will never buy another Fitbit. They are a dishonest company. Don’t believe anything they tell you.

Im sorry to see so many frustrations about their Inspires not working. Every issue I have so far has been resolved by following the setting instructions and is working fine.

It may all be down to settings. Do this on the mobile or PC app not the watch.

I'm a firm believer for all tecnological items: Turn off and reboot. 95% of the time this jogs them back to life.

Thanks for all of your comments.

Well at least I solved one problem. After about a week, my wrist becomes
irritated and inflamed by the strap and I change the wrist. Now I just take
the HR off at night since I am not loosing anything!

Unfortunately this solution is not working for me.  I have changed the settings no less than 10 times.  I have completed removed and re-installed the Inspire at least 3 times and I have turned my Bluetooth on and off several times to no avail. I have done this from my phone and PC app not from the actual Fitbit although I did try that as well when I first receive my Inspire back in May.  My sleep is still not tracking, my exercise is still not tracking, and I am still not getting notified to move (I do get notified of text messages though, go figure).

Thanks again....I will look into returning it but unfortunately I've had it for almost 3 months now so I'm afraid I may have missed the window as well.

I took your advice @Luvmymon and went back to the store...they replaced my Inspire with a new one since it's only 2 weeks old.  Let's see how the new one will work.  Thanks again for the great suggestion!

So after reading  lots of the forums, i accidentally solved it, at least it worked for me.

All you gotta do is wear it to bed at night and it automatically tracks sleep,

and in the morning make sure blue tooth is switched on ( on your phone), so the data syncs to your phone, that's it. Yeah i didn't think about it until i was looking around at HR and it said my device wasn't connected at the time and i instinctively thought blue tooth and then thought hey maybe that was it and checked the sleep insights and stages and then voilà, it worked!

Happy it is working for you but still not working for me no matter what I do.   I always wear it to bed and my Bluetooth is always on.

This is my sleep tracker from the day I bought it.

As you can see it's up and down like a brides nightie.

@MikeyisHere I had my Inspire replaced for free (still under warranty) and ow it works fine. let's see how long that would last. LOL That being said, I always switch my iphone off at night when i go to bed, and it still will track my sleep (till i had the problem though). And last night, with the new Inspire, I also had my iPhone switched off, and it still tracked my sleep. As long as you wear it to bed.  The not tracking at times, that we have yet to resolve why it happened. 😞
