My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

Honestly I’m giving up on the Inspire and Fitbit altogether.

As soon as I find a better device I will buy it. In the meantime what I do is edit the sleep record after the first sync in the morning with the approximate time I went to bed. Then it recalculated and gives what I think are reliable numbers but who knows🤷‍:female_sign:

Thank you for your response.  I am getting very fed up with Fitbit as well....every time I "upgrade" my tracker I lose more and more functionality.  I am not a child so I do not have a set bedtime. No idea why this function worked perfectly with my Flex 2 but is impossible with Inspire.  The only reason I had chosen these 2 particular trackers is because they are the only 2 that are swimproof.  The really funny thing is that because my typical bedtime is after midnight Inspire really has no idea how to log my sleep no matter what I try.  Please let me know if you find another tracker that you like better.  I used to love my Fitbit but sadly not anymore.

Same here. The sleep record has never worked for nearly three months. This
seems to be crazy since apparently the other models work better. I am
really surprised that the company has not fixed the problem.

According to my Inspire HR, I haven't slept since July 5, and only an hour
or two then. Getting tired.

Well if you think you're tired, according to my Inspire I have not slept a single wink since May 25th!  I think we both might need a nap cuz Fitbit is making us cranky!  Haha!

My Inspire HR isn't tracking my sleep start time accurately. On my app it has been showing a start time of 1 hour or so later than my actual time. Is there any fix? I've gone in and manually changed it but then it's not really "tracking," is it? It's really annoying! This happens about 2-3 times a week. At other times, it's fine. WTF?

Lucky you, mine works properly about once every 2 weeks!! So annoying. If it didn’t link in with MyFitnessPal I would have sent it back by now ...

The sleep tracking is actually the least of my concerns although it would be nice if it actually worked.  My Inspire is also not  tracking exercise and is not reminding me to move....totally frustrating!  I wonder if anyone at Fitbit is actually reading any of these comments as I do not see any responses from them at all.  Hopefully they are and a fix will be available some day soon.  Best of luck in the meantime.

You kick **ahem**!! Too bad these things aren’t more user friendly! I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong! Really interested to see stages, disappointed that I’ve got to scan message boards to figure out how this thing works! What’s the point of recording sleep with the app then? Not very intuitive to have using the app decrease functionality!!!! Needs better user support within the app and/or some reworking!

Wouldn’t it be nice if fitbit’s customer service really helped you instead of lying to you and leading you on and giving you “solutions” that don’t work just to waste your time? They have no idea how to fix the sleep tracking issue so they just lie to you and keep selling their products that don’t work. A very bad, dishonest company.

Don’t use app to track sleep! Ignore app and let device figure it out without the app. Hope this works, did for me!

I let the inspire track my sleep. Most mornings it’s still out be about two
hours so I recalculate it. Then it’s fine.

How do you "ignore" the app?

How do I set it up?

It should be working the minute you put on your Fit Bit and then be sure to keep it charged and use your iPhone or iPad to renew it each day by syncing it (go to Fit Bit website to learn how to do if you do not know). It takes about 2 min to get synced every day then just tap on the box that has the sleep symbol on your watch and it will open to show you your sleep pattern the night before. It keeps data so you can review each day and compare to other days re what type of sleep you are getting, ie. light, deep, REM etc.

Hope this helps but as you can see mine is not always very accurate. For instance the other night it said I went to bed at 12:30 when I really went to bed and was asleep by 10:30 so do not count on it being accurate.

I just wish that Fit Bit could make it more reliable.

That I do not know? But mine is still off by about 2 hours some nights but other nights it seems to be tracking my sleep accurately. I used it to swim in the other day and it tracked my swimming in STEPS so I don't get that either. I thought it would have a swim category that would measure strokes so unless I just don't know how to set it this watch does not really track swimming but I guess arm movements that it translates into steps??

This weeks mine has been close for about 3 nights and the other nights off about 2 hours too? I wonder why? So unreliable but at least it is tracking my sleep patterns quite well even if the hours are off.

I'm not sure I understand "ignore"? My watch for sleep has been accurate about 30% of the time. I think you mean just calculate when you go to sleep and when you wake up on your own? But what is the point? I want to see my sleep patterns and do comparisons. Let me know.

I didn't even try to contact them yet. I tried swimming with it this week for the first time and it did track my swimming as "steps". It went from about 900 steps to about 2400 steps after a 45 min swim. I thought it would go into a swim mode and track arm movements and report swimming but it just reported steps which is really inaccurate. Maybe I should contact them and see what can be done but I feel frustrated about not having it work right in the very beginning.

I certainly agree 100% after buying this new Inspire HR and right away it is not working correctly. Not only is sleep tracking not accurate, I used it for swimming (the main reason I bought it) and it tracked "steps" I went from 900 steps to 2400 steps for a 45 min swim. How can they equate steps with swimming? At least it did something. But maybe I just don't understand the watch, do you have any suggestions?
