My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

@Bossman690 Yes it is! Just I was replying to @MikeyisHere who said your bluetooth must be on. And I am saying my iphone was OFF, so my bluetooth is off, and it should still track as long as you wear your Fitbit to sleep. Has nothing to do with the bluetooth on or not.

Turns out someone may actually be listening....for the first time since May 24th I have made some progress with my Inspire. I was going to call today to see how long the warranty lasted so I could hopefully return mine but thought I would give an entire re-boot just one more attempt even though I had done it at least 5 times already. I completely removed Inspire from my Bluetooth on my phone and turned my Bluetooth off. I then went to the settings on my wristband and hit "clear user data". I then basically went away and did nothing for about an hour. When I can back I turned my Bluetooth back on and then put the Inspire into it's charger and went through all the steps as though this was the first time I was setting it up. Once that completed I checked to be sure the Inspire was linked with my Bluetooth on my phone and it was. I then went into the settings on my phone and clicked on Exercise. From there I clicked on the settings wheel in the upper right hand corner and set all Auto Recognized Exercises to 10+ minutes. For the FIRST time since I received this Fitbit and for the first time since May 24th my Inspire told me that I have 1 out of 5 days of exercise and it actually recognized and recorded an aerobic workout and a walk. Woohoooooo! I will let you know if my other two issues are fixed as well....Sleep Tracking and Notification to Move but for now I am (finally) a lot less discouraged with the Inspire. Really hope this works for you (and others) as well!

well actually, what i meant was,
blue tooth needs to be on for the tracker to send the data to the phone ( i assume), that would be for whenever you want the data, lets say it was after you slept and wanted to see the sleep data.
Your phone doesn't need to be on when you wear it to sleep ( i think).

For the first time since May 24th (the day I switched from Flex 2 to Inspire) my Sleep Tracking function actually worked and as far as I can tell it is accurate. I do not turn off my phone or my Bluetooth at bedtime, if that helps. Good luck everyone, it's been a frustrating ride for sure!

@MikeyisHere , you are correct. Your phone does not need to be on for your Fitbit to track sleep. However, it does need to be on in order to sync the information to your account, and the Fitbit needs to be connected to your phone via Bluetooth or it will not sync.

I have a problem with the Inspire HR saying that I was asleep when I was awake, but lying still. I looked at my bedside clock at 3.30am and spent the next 90 minutes planning the stats for a paper I am writing on postpartum distress. There were a couple of times during the 90 minutes where I looked at the clock (and these show up on the graph as awake times). But I was not asleep for any time during that 90 minute period. I got up this morning and wrote down the ideas for the paper that had manifested during my recorded, "light sleep" time so I have no doubt that I was awake.
I too bought the Inspire HR for recording my sleep. I'm pretty disappointed and will look at ditching it for something else.

Hello guys! It's a pleasure to continue providing assistance with the difficulties experienced with your Inspire HR devices not tracking your sleep records. My sincere apologies for the delay in responding your posts.
To begin with, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience looking for a resolution on this and trying some troubleshooting steps prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this situation can be for each of you. Let me share with you guys that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that was provided on this thread is really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures to make sure that we're delivering what our Fitbit users and customers need.
Regarding the sleep records that are not being recorded, I recommend you guys to learn more about our Sleep Stages feature checking the information that's specified on: What should I know about sleep stages?. If some days you didn't receive Sleep Stages detailed graphs, please check: Why don't I see sleep stages today? for more details about the factors that can cause this inconvenience. If sleep information is not being tracked at all, meaning that not even auto-sleep logs are reflected in your accounts, please try the following steps:
1. Manually sync the tracker.
2. Restart the Fitbit device.
3. Please try sleeping with the device on your non-dominant hand.
4. If steps 1-3 don't work, my best advise will be to manually log sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in How do I change my sleep history?
Please make sure that the Fitbit app, platform operating system and Fitbit devices are up to date. Also, check if your mobile devices are compatible with our products and services on this help article. For any inquiry related to our warranty policies, you can check them here.
Please keep me posted, I'll be around if you need further assistance with anything else.

I’ve had the same problem. Thinking of throwing it in the bin.

Followed the instructions, but to no avail. Still doesn't record sleep.

Hi Ricardo,
Last night I woke at 3am (which is not unusual for me, sadly) and did an experiment. I looked at the clock next to my bed, then laid perfectly still (as I normally do when I wake during the night). About half an hour later I looked at the clock again (which takes some movement) and then laid still again. I did this twice more.
When I checked my fitbit record, it said that I had been awake briefly at the times I had looked at the clock, but in light sleep when I had been still.
The whole reason I bought the Inspire HR was to monitor my sleep. I'd be grateful if you would please tell me how the Inspire HR distinguishes between being asleep and being awake but lying still.
Thank you,
Peter

Tried all the suggestions from Ricardo, which I’ve tried before, still not tracking sleep. Actually even worse with the most recent update . Before at least it tracked some hours accurately now it doesn’t even track most of the night when I know I was asleep.

OK - I tried snugging up the band a notch or two, and it seemed to help - still not recording all sleep, but much closer to what it should be doing. Stand by -

Does the data sync in the morning when you check the app? or is there like a sync error,
I think most of the time i don't get a proper sync with my phone when i wake up,
i'd have to restart the app, turn my phone off then on and then afterwards it'd get a good sync,
and the sleep data appears.

Mine has been syncing fine in the morning...but sometimes it does take more than one sync before my sleep stats show up. Everything else seems to be working for me now except that I am no longer getting notified when I reach my daily step goals....that was working before, isn't now but I am getting notified when I need to move which wasn't working before...kinda crazy.....

Have a new Fitbit Inspire HR. Records everything except my heart rate and sleep stages ie. rem, light and deep. Don’t know how to correct this. The light pulse contact sensor seems to work only intermittently.
