My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

Final results for last nite . All week I’ve been editing/correcting the log which I shouldn’t have to do but at least it recalculated to give a more accurate record. Then I updated and you can see what happened Saturday and last nite.

Update not working!

Thanks for the tip to adjust sleep manually after. Agreed it shouldn’t have to be input for a automatic tracker. Not sure how it calculates out the sleep stages after you manually enter the start time.

@croalexander , I am sorry that didn’t help!  But you are doing the right thing eliminating the most obvious reasons why it isn’t working for you.

I know Fitbit is investigating this.  It is always difficult when an issue seems to be affecting some people (even quite a large number) but yet for most others it is working fine.  That does make it harder to get to the bottom of the problem.

Hopefully they will figure it out soon.  In the meantime, make sure your Inspire HR has plenty of battery when you sleep, the band is snug but not tight, your sleep is at least 3 hours long, and you don’t start sleep in the app.

And, of curse, keep reporting this issue!  The more information Fitbit has, the easier it will be to track down what is going on and come up with a fix for you and others.

I am really sorry not to have any more suggestions for you.

who helped you and what did they say??? sleep info is actually the MAIN reason I got this thing.

Yes similar for me. Hopefully it is fixed or I may return and get something else. Odd thing is every other Fitbit has worked so they know how to do this.

After the update. My inspire hr tracked my different sleep stages.

Then the HR stopped working & as a result I just got basic sleep information.

ive stopped using the in app facility to say I’m going to bed to start sleep it starts record I slept within an hour of my going to bed.

so fingers crossed it’s sorted.

Reading posts on my fb page people were getting good advice & pm so information tailored to their specific issues.

worth a go people?!

No one has really helped me with this. They give various suggestions (eg - change to sensitive setting, make sure it's not too tight or too loose, etc), but even after trying everything, my Fitbit still doesn't work correctly.

I have the inspire hr & it’s been really temperamental initially.

i also moved the tracker up my wrist etc.

i had to reboot it & I also removed tracker & reinstalled it which helped.

Try the fb page they were asking people for their email linked to their fb to directly contact them.

Worth looking!!

Had Fitbit Inspire for two days.  Wanted to have it for sleep cycles.  First night no real info since it was first time.  2nd and 3rd nights it misses two hours. I set the timer for 10 pm to 6 am.  But when I look t it it has the times in next sentence.   10 pm to 12:03 then 2 to 6.  Next night something similar.  Last night said could give me a good reading as didn’t have watch on properly.  What I am worried about is the missing two hours and the second nights readings were great, exactly what I wanted.  Help.

I was informed that there was an upgrade available and downloaded it to
solve the problem concerned with tracking sleep and missing the first part
of the night.

Several other people confirm this problem and it still persists despite the
upgraded program.

That’s correct , the upgrade has not resolved the issue for me and other users unfortunately

I continue to have the same problem. It skips 2 hour segments in the middle of the night. The pattern with mine seem to be between 2:00 - 4:00am.   And, since I don't have a period of over 3 hours either before or after it stops, it isn't able to give me detailed sleep patterns. Really frustrating! I think my fb is sleeping better than I am at night!

Mine is exactly the same, did the update, changed to sensitive for sleep and nothing recorded at all.

This is a pointless device!

An update: I've given up placing this device on my wrist. For now, I've changed my setting to Dominant hand (right hand) and placing it on my left ankle. Works well in tracking sleep.

Fitbit knows the inspire does not work correctly, they don’t t care, they got your money. They’ve told me to be patient while they work on the problem. I’m 69 yrs old, I don’t have time to waste on Fitbit’s problems.

They are just giving me the runaround too. They know they have a flawed product they don’t care.

Hi! After over an hour with 2 Fitbit "advocates" (both named Alex??!) I was FINALLY told that my Samsung galaxy s10e is TOO NEW and isn't "yet" compatible with the inspire hr.

I beat you on age but hope that I have long enough left to see Fitbit get
their act together!

Thanks for your experience. I have an iPhone 7 and an iPad so that should
not be a problem. I am really surprised that the company should launch a
product without adequate testing to see that all of the functions work. I
would welcome a refund, a Fitbit that works or a patch to the program to
fix the problem.
