Inspire HR not recording steps today. Last night, it worked fine. It has worked fine for months. Just checked and it also did not record any intensity for my bike ride this morning nor for my stairs but it did record my stairs when I went up to bed last night. It is as if it stopped working since midnight. Odd.

Hello @Sheathfield, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this situation, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? To fix it, I'd recommend our restart process, please follow the next steps and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  3. Press and hold the button or buttons on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Ricardo,

Thank you for your help. That did indeed solve my problem.

I experience this a couple of times a year with this Fitbit and my prior two. Yes, I am an over five-year user, I think. Walked to my bedroom last night around 11:30 pm, woke at 7 am, and then synced my phone app with my Fitbit around 10 am as no steps for the morning, sleep, etc. were showing.

I hope the further detail helps.

Regards,  Susan

Ricardo,

This is getting very old. This is happening to me at least once a week now. When it was only a couple of times a year, I could deal with it but now it is happening with such frequency that I am considering buying a different device.

Regards,

Susan

My wife has been a committed ftbit user for many years and never had a problem with her fitbit alta. the inspire 2 hr has been totally dysfunctional, inaccurate and inconsistent. restarting seems to be the only fix?
