Inspire HR not turning on - Water damage

Hi! I have an Inspire HR that I purchased from FitBit back in July. I've been good about taking it off when showering; however, it has gotten water on it during times I've washed my hands. A few days ago I noticed what looked like water underneath the display screen, and it looks like it's been spreading - but my Fitbit was still functioning normally. Yesterday I went to charge it, and when I took it off the charger, I could no longer scroll through the stats when I tapped it. I tried to restart it on the charger with no luck, and then the display stopped showing entirely. I put the FitBit in rice overnight, and haven't worn it for 24 hours, but the water is still there. When I took it out of the rice this morning, it did display a text message I had received, but as soon as I tapped it, the display went out again. The display comes back on when it's charging, but as soon as it's off the charger, it goes dark again. Not sure what else to do to troubleshoot, or if I just need a new FitBit altogether - any help is appreciated!
