Inspire HR possible water damage stopped working after swimming.

How do I find out if I can get a replacement Inspire HR?  Went swimming one-time in relatively shallow water between 1-2 meters at most. After it would stay charged less than a day where as I could go 4 to 5 days without charging before. After a few days it stopped holding a charge all together and won't turn on.  The only customer service options are posting here or message on Twitter which I don't have an account on.  Any help would be appreciated.

@Kclynn It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not working. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help your device charge.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your response @AlvaroFitbit  I followed the steps you gave below cleaning the contacts and I tried different ports for charging and tried again with a UL-Certified USB Adapter. And I still am not able to turn on my device. Even going through the trouble shooting link provided.

I was not having any issued with charging or restarting my device prior to swimming with it. It was immediately after that my battery life was reduced dramatically. And right before, it finally wouldn't turn on all together, the screen started having issue not being responsive to touch.  I've tried a few times now going through the charging process (leaving it on the charger for a few hours and then trying to restart per directions but am not able to get it to turn back on.

thank you,

Same thing happened to me. The first time I fixed it by leaving the Fitbit in a container of rice for a couple of days. Before doing that, I also pressed the watch button side to my mouth and sucked the pool water out of it. (I knew water got in there because I could taste the chlorine)

This time around, none of that is working.

My inspire hr just died after a swim yesterday too.  I just got it in February and wear it continuously.  I left it on the charger and it seemed to reboot.  Said the time was 5:20 let me cycle through all the most recent statistics since before it died yesterday then the screen went blank again totally dead.  Is returning it under the warranty for a credit an option.  I don’t want to be without it for weeks and I can just buy a new one?

Sorry. If it was more than a year old it may have been out of warranty. If
it makes you feel any better, I upgraded to a charge 4 and like it much
better. Maybe if you push back they might be willing to give you a
discount or coupon for a new one
