Inspire HR recording active minutes while I'm not wearing it

My Inspire HR recorded 167 active minutes between 12 and 6 a.m. while I was not wearing it. It did not record any steps during that time, but shows a heart rate in the cardio to peak zones. The data really freaked me out when I saw it because it made me think my heart rate was going crazy for no reason, before I realized I wasn't even wearing it at the time. What would make it malfunction in this way? There is a heating vent several feet away but I'm not sure it was cold enough to come on that night.

I will add that it was frustrating that I couldn't see detailed info for the active minutes/HR info on the Windows app or website, which made it harder to figure out it was a malfunction. I had to borrow someone's ipad to see the more complete info with times so that I could figure out that I hadn't been wearing it at that time.

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @erikalyn. I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue.

Thanks for all the information you provided us. It will be a pleasure to help you.

Sometimes this happens as a result of a fan or anything that may have been buzzing or vibrating on the same surface that your Fitbit was placed on while charging or not being worn. If this is the case, please try placing the Inspire HR on a different surface without any vibrations and check if the same persists.

Thanks for all your patience and efforts into this matter.
