Inspire HR repeatedly showing 'bluetooth pairing required' when it isn't

I have a brand new Inspire HR (with latest update) with my iPhone SE.

 

I've ALREADY paired it, it's working beautifully, syncing fine, all the data is coming through on the app. All good.

 

YET - when I go into 'Account' / 'Inspire HR' (e.g. to change the clock face), a popup appears saying 'Bluetooth Pairing Required. Your inspire HR and your iPhone need to be paired.'

 

1. If I click 'setup' and it gets stuck looking for the phone, despite bluetooth being on. If I then navigate away from this, it says 'unable to connect to Inspire HR' which is nonsense.

2. If I click cancel, I can proceed AS IF it had paired.

 

So why does this window keep popping up? Is this a bug? It's very annoying. Because I have already paired the device.

Ps I should add that it only seems to effect ‘notifications’.

 

eg if I press cancel after the pop up, then look for a clock face, all good. But if I press cancel and go into notifications, it gets stuck looking for the connection.
