I just purchased the Fitbit inspire HR about a week ago and have had to charge the battery every day. I dies after only ten or so hours of use from a full battery. I've looked up troubleshooting and I've tried everything that it said to do I've shut off the heart rate monitor I shut off the GPS I made sure that my calls and messages weren't going to it and I tried resetting it nothing works.

Welcome on board @AFranzen! Thanks for the tips and recommendations you tried to conserve the battery life on your Inspire HR.

The length of time your Fitbit device operates on a full charge depends on how frequently you use it and various settings.

In this case, I'd recommend restarting your device one more time and letting it to run out of battery to charge it again. To make sure you're charging your device correctly, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?. Then, keep an eye on it to see how the battery goes.

We recommend to charge your trackers via the USB port over a wall adapter. However, it is also possible to charge your Fitbit tracker with a UL certified wall adapter. What may actually cause damage to the tracker's battery (either on a computer or a wall adapter) is the charging time, which if excessive over time may damage the battery and therefore cause quick battery drain or prevent the tracker from charging at all.

Tips to best charge Fitbit trackers are:

  • Use only genuine Fitbit charging cables
  • Use only UL-certified wall chargers
  • Avoid USB battery packs
  • Charge at room temperature

For charging purposes, your charging cable can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:

  • A computer
  • A Wall A/C to USB adapter, commonly found with smartphones
  • A DC to USB adapter (vehicle power port)

Thanks for flagging the post @NellyG!

I am having this same issue! I just recieved my Inspire HR to get better sleep tracking, and i have to charge it everynight when I get home. It only takes a little while to charge fully, then by about 2 or 3 pm the next day it is dead. I barely use it. I might check the time once in awhile, but thats about it for my intentional use. Ocassionally I will look at it and it will be logging exercise that I am not doing (even in my sleep). I imediately turn it off and put it to sleep. I have attempted to set it to only sync when instructed, but the screen roll seems to lag and get stuck between screens. Is all of this normal? I updated the software imediately upon opening the box, so its not a software issue. please help!?

Same Issue. I've had mine for a couple weeks maybe (fitbit inspire HR) and have followed all suggestions.  Battery life is stated to achieve close to 5 hours.  I get 8 to 10 hours and done everytime.  I feel like I should be supplied a working replacement if no remote fix is available.  We are 4.5 days shy of the advertised battery life to my understanding.  Thanks.

Same thing is happening to mine. I bought my Inspire HR about a month ago after many issues with my Charge 3. Yesterday evening I charged my Inspire and just woke up to it at 50% battery just from me sleeping. I love fitbit but I’ve had nothing but continued issues with them lately especially for the price

I'm trying to figure out this issue on my wife's Inspire HR and the conclusion I've come to is to avoid fitbit in the future. I've had my Garmin vivoactive for 3 years and it's been to hell and back with me. Still works perfectly with about 70% battery health left. I've charged it through wall plugs, battery banks, and usb ports. I've left it to charge overnight and sometimes I'd forget it at home so it would charge for nearly 24 hours. Still no issues. Fitbit should do better.
