It still vibrates when I hit the button. I saw the smile once but haven't seen it since and nothing is working. Very frustrating given its only 2 weeks old. Is there a solution or hard reset?

Hi, @Jfarr2023 , whenever your Fitbit is not behaving as expected, the first troubleshooting step is always to give it a restart. You are usually advised to try this 3 times, because a single restart does not always do the trick.
Please do try that and let us know. Also, does it seem to be charging properly and fully?

Yes, I have tried all that. It seems to be charging fine. I only see the smiley face from time to time but nothing afterwards. Please help.

Hi, @Jfarr2023 , if you have tried the restart (linked above) at least 3 times, and it seems to be charging properly, then I think you need more help than the Community can provide, so I have flagged your post for Moderator attention, and someone should be along soon to give you some more support on this issue.

Thanks. I would like a resolution soon before I leave fitbit all together and buy an alternative brand. 2 weeks use is unacceptable

Hi, @Jfarr2023 , absolutely! Your Fitbit should obviously last much longer than that. If you want to check the terms of the warranty, there's a link at the bottom of every page in the Community. It's one year in most parts of the world, and two years in some areas -- and that's the absolute minimum (barring things like loss, or accidental damage, of course -- always check the small print!)
I am sure a Moderator will be along soon to give you some further information on the next steps to get you back on track with your Inspire HR.

I noticed my issues started happening right around the time my Note 8 updated some software like others have said. Could that potentially be the cause? Has someone from Fitbit confirmed that this isn't some kind of bug from that update? Thanks

I am having the exact same issue. I have reset and did get the smiley face and now back to diamond face with the letters YIJMMDY4 then 001 underneath.
I tried unpairing as well and now can't sync my device as not finding it with Bluetooth. Help.

i have an inspire hr as well. i believe mine died while i was charging it in my car. however, i have had mine for 1 day. the diamond face has come up and i only see the smily face when i restart it. it then goes back to the serial number and logo. does not show up on the app and have tried restarting it >20 times. please help me with this someone.

Another Inspire HR here with a display that doesn't work. Also about 2-3 weeks old. It was bought in late March and stopped working late last week.
I've tried the restart 3 times (each time shows the only the smiley face) and then plug into the charger for a few hours, but that has not worked.
Rather saddening, as it's my 9yo daughters and she spent all her saved pocket money on it.
A resolution would be most welcome, and make me look like hero in my daughters eyes 🙂

Having the same problem. A small pulse then the smile, then nothing. It died a few days ago, I plugged it into my computer via its usb charging cable and left it a day to charge. Wanted to go to the gym and tried to turn it on, but it’s just cycling through the vibration and smiley face.
I hope someone can address this. I got mine mid March this year!

Just received my Inspire HR today and the display turns off after a nano second meaning I can’t swipe to anything. Pretty poor given this is my third one in 4 years. Should have gone with my gut and invested in a different brand. Very poor quality 👎🏻
