Inspire HR's display not working

It still vibrates when I hit the button. I saw the smile once but haven't seen it since and nothing is working. Very frustrating given its only 2 weeks old. Is there a solution or hard reset?

This just happened to me as well.  It makes me uneasy that it will stop working altogether after the warranty runs out.  Wish I had known this before purchasing. The warranty should run longer given these problems so many are having. 😞

Did you try plugging it in and pushing the button for a few minutes?
It worked this time for me. Not sure about next time.

Please advise my screen no longer works and I only got it for Christmas, it seems to be sending info to phone but no screen, buttons not doing anything, no smiley face even with reset attempts. Gutted, help anyone?

Try plugging your Fitbit into your charger and also hold the button on the side for several seconds. Do this several times while charging. You should see a smiley face and it will reset. Hope it works!

Hallo I decided to have a last attempt at the reset and got a smiley face, it didn't reset though so I did it again and now have got my display back. I am hopeful as I like my fitbit. Thanks so much for your help. XXX-Alison.

Less than a month of usage and my Inspire HR also crapped out on me.

Turning the wrist brings up the clock face and pressing the button does the same and that's it. Long press doesn't show battery level and touchscreen doesn't work at all. But it does sync with my device for data transfer.

Did dry the "Reset" method 3x times, nothing. Also, when Inspire HR was connected to USB charging cable, only the clock face was shown. No charging animation whatsoever.

Removed the Inspire HR from charging cable, waited for few secs and put it back. Now, it started to charge, from 66%. At the time of this message, it's at 83% and still charging. Once it's done, i'll try to get life back into it. Oh, i'll be posting an update as well.

Update.

So, i let my Inspire HR to fully charge and after disconnecting it from the charger, it works again. Placed it on hand and everything works, long button press brings up the battery level and touchscreen scrolls between menus. Also, synced it with my device and it synced without issues.

I guess my Inspire HR needed a jumpstart.

I  reset it and it started to work again but 2 hours later screen gone again. Very disappointed. Can't reset it every 2 hours that would not be sensible at all.

My INSPIRE was a Christmas present, so is only three weeks old.  It displays only the happy face and then the website address

I did get one e-mail with some data on it, but that's all

 

Have tried numerous suggestions but the display never works, for instance, as a clock

Hi @saltspring. Welcome to the forums and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

 

It's great that you got an Inspire as a Christmas present and thanks for the information provided. Let me help you with the display's issues. Before anything else, may I know if you've set up your tracker in a Fitbit account? I'm asking this as all our Fitbit devices will show the initial screen with the website so you can set it up and get your information displayed. If you've done that process, I'd recommend to follow the steps from this help article.

 

Now, if you continue seeing the same display after setting up and updating your Inspire, please reply back to this post so I can continue working with you.

Hi,

My fit inspire also recently started to have screen issues. When I click the side button I see the home screen that flickers and then touchscreen does not respond. I have tried to restart it already at least 5 times. After every start, I see the smiley face and it keeps showing and disappearing continuously every 7 seconds. Any pointers on what the issue might be?

Wish I'd read this forum before buying. I cannot swipe after numerous restarts. Will probably try to get refund and right off my wasted time and effort.... then recommend to friends not to buy a Fitbit. Would Fitbit be surprised by this response??
