Hi,
I am having an issue with my Fitbit HR where the screen keeps randomly turning off as I am tapping it to look through my stats. Is anyone else having this issue?
Also, does anyone know how to change the default home screen for my Fitbit so that it always shows the steps by default?
Thanks!

It's not poor. It's actually quite smart. I was used to regular (hard) tapping on the screen so my finger would cover almost whole display - this way it turns it off. What you need to do is touch it lightly but do not cover the whole display. I don't know if it makes sense... Try different fingertip taps, perhaps near the bottom of the display etc.

You can download the Inspire HR manual easily so you have access to all info about the tracker. One swipe up from clock face is steps, and you can leave it there but if you bump or touch it, it may change to another.

I have Inspire non-HR version and am experiencing similar issue. The screen turns off randomly as I swipe up and down on the screen. It's very frustrating.

Yeah I have this issue too. I just accept it - the touch screen performance is generally really poor - missed taps, screen turning off, swipes not recognised etc - I just treat it as the tracker and get most of my info from the app now.

Thanks for pointing out covering the whole screen would turn off the display. I don't think I was covering the whole screen when the issue arises, but I'll be mindful and watch closely next time.

@Tn8Dhcko6 I didn't know what was going on at first either. Then by accident discovered that it's enough to gently touch the bottom edge of the screen and the stats will change.

Ok so this is constantly happening to me and I was thinking of returning it, but then I thought maybe if I bought the clip it would happen less because I found if I took the band oiff it seemed to happen less. So I just ordered the clip, will report what happens. On the other note, if you go on your app, and go to your device, there is a button to set up your apps, and your watch face, right under where your Fitbit inspire/inspire HR is. Its very easy to find, it takes two seconds. I have mine set up with the time and an emoji cat. They have some cute faces for a simple watch/tracker. Hope this helps!!
