Inspire HR screen remains black

I have plugged in my Fitbit and held down the botton for 15 secs and it buzzes once at the start and then nothing happens. The green light is flashing at the back. It is syncing with my app, but there is nothing on the display.

If u can’t fix this, how do u contact the company to replace it. Do I have to return to the store I bought it in, or do the fit bit company replace it?

How do you change the watch face?

I changed mine using my iPhone while logged into my fitbit account.

I have tried 4 different clock races, resetting etc. Nothing works to bring screen back. It is recording, but no visual unless in app.

I called fitbit service and they reset it remotely and never had a problem
again.

Sadly my Inspire HR has just died as well. Black screen, no response when connected and button held in plus the App cannot see the device.

I’m  assuming it’s kna^§ered and so will have to return under warranty. It’s only 7 months old

i shan’t be buying or recommending another Fitbit to anyone. My first Alta HR lasted a while longer but again gave up the ghost.

So based on my experience I cannot recommend either of these products.

Support are good and helpful but can’t cover for a weak product.

Did you get this fixed?  I'm having the same problem.  I've reset it but smily face won't come on. I have changed the clock face 5 times and I can feel it vibrates. It's synced to my phone but my screen is still blank.

I had to do this a few times. My husband now has the HR as I upgraded to
the Versa 2. He has not said anything about it lately.
I would recommend calling Fitbit and letting them know. They may swap it
out.

Thanks Kim.
I am talking with Fitbit and they have asked I return the unit. Not sure though what to get instead.

I am sure they will just swap it out for you. I personally like the Versa
2. It does cost more but the features are a lot better.
Good luck!

This is what happens to mine as well. After just 6 months I am not able to use it. These are a lot of defective fit bit... Can this be fixed?

This just happened to me also.  I was out working in the yard yesterday and went to check the time and it was dead.  I had not received warning of low battery, so I went and plugged it in.  My data had synced up to 11:30 AM (this was 2:00 PM) and nothing was recorded after that.  I plugged it in and the screen was still black, but it began syncing again.  It showed 40% power but nothing for those 2.5 hours.
I reviewed the suggestions of everyone here and nothing worked.  I called tech support and we tried everything (again) and nothing.  He passed my information to warranty and an hour later they emailed me indicating it was no longer under warranty and there is nothing they will do. I had this 25 months.  😞  The email also indicated they wanted to keep me in the Fitbit family and would send another email with discount information for a new device - this email never came.  The email for rating the tech support did and I filled it out with less than ideal scores (but the guy on the phone was kind and did try to help).
I am now not sure if I will stay with Fitbit or not as devices didn't last as long as it should have, I have an Apple phone and may just upgrade to that as I am seeing so many issues with the screen dying and it's obviously a defect somewhere along the line they don't want to deal with...
This is the third Fitbit I have had (had trouble with my first one and they sent me a new one to replace it, upgraded to the Versa - my wife is on her fourth with her most recent one not holding a charge any longer so we bought her a Versa 2), but I am starting to see a decline in quality and ownership of the product.  Sorry Fitbit, I think if quality is declining, so will your market share.

Hi LizzyFitbit,

My Fitbit HR screen is black.  I've followed the steps in this thread - restarting and changing the clock face several times but nothing worked.  It is working as the green lights are on and it vibrates but is still blank.  Unfortunately, I thought I would unpair it to see if that resolved it - but I was forgetting that I would need to see the code

I have tried to charge my watch, hold the side button for 30+ seconds, changing my clockface, clean the back sensor, update my watch. Nothing has fixed my problem. I need help and/or help because my watch helps me on daily basis. If its not fixed soon, i will switched from Fitbit to Galaxy Watch.
