I set up my Inspire HR on my computer. The set up went well and the Fitbit app shows that the inspire synced. But, the face of the watch has the fitbit logo and words fitbit.com/set up. I have redone this several times. A couple of times I get a gray straight line across the face. The button just brings up logo, and tapping the screen does nothing. Help appreciated.

I bought my Inspire HR yesterday, and this happened to me. Took about an hour and a half to set up. I'm pretty tech savvy, and I found the setup to be a real pain - way worse than most new gadgets. I was replacing an Alta HR, so I already had the app downloaded on both my phone and my computer. And even with that headstart, took me about an hour and a half. It never got out of the setup screen, even though the device was syncing on both the computer and the phone. Here is the voodoo that worked (and I do not know why).
I got so fed up, I packed up all the packaging and headed back to Best Buy (thereby leaving my computer, but taking my phone with me). The app on my phone needed updating (I thought I'd check that while waiting at a very long stoplight). So I did the update (still at the stoplight), and 10 minutes later, when I arrived at Best Buy and went in ranting, the Inspire was working.
Either it needed:
Time alone to update and connect and wake up - or -
The updated app on my phone - or -
To be away from the computer
I'm happy with it now, but I was hopping mad fo awhile there. I think Fitbit has a lot of hiccups and glitches, and the apps suck, but I'm used to Fitbit. I like the band and I like the slim design - or I would have long gone elsewhere.

Hi; I am having the same problem with mine a straight line across the face of the fit bit after going through the set up process. Anyone know whats causing this and how to get it working properly?

If you already had the app installed, they did an update about 3 days ago. Be sure to update your app on your phone. Try taking your fitbit out of range of your computer, but within range of your phone. Make sure the fitbit is fully charged. Completely reboot both phone and fitbit. Also, if you have another fitbit, you can only have one fitbit registered on the app. Remove the other fitbit. Then wait about 30 minutes and see if that helps.
