Inspire HR short battery life, randomly tracks exercise, not showing time

Randomly tracks exercise when I'm not exercising. Sometimes difficult to get it to show time...says start and finish instead. Battery life short. Basically not functioning as it should.

@4joanne It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not working as it should. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life. The restart should help with your screen issue and exercise tracking. 

 

Also note that your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If you are moving your arm but aren't actually walking then the tracker may think you are doing an activity. Take this into consideration when you see an activity detected by your tracker.

Tried all of the suggestions multiple times. The screen still flashes through various options on it's own.
