Inspire HR showing "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required"

I never had this issue on my last phone, but I recently got a new phone and transferred the fitbit app onto it. For a Few days i received notification fine. But today i released that i had not received any notifications for a few days so I went into the settings on the app and found this message "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker". I restarted my phone 3 times and the message would not go away and I am still not receiving notifications. I then followed all of the troubleshooting options under the help section and no luck. I am still not receiving any notifications to my fitbit.

Can someone please help, or suggest something?

@georgia0320 Thanks for being part of our Community!

Let me help you with your Fitbit app showing the Notifications service not running message and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. This may be related to your phone's permission settings with the Fitbit app. Which phone do you have? Which OS version is it running? You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps >  permissions and settings > apps > Manage apps > Fitbit) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
