Inspire HR shows 0 calories burned during logged exercise

Hi there! I have an Inspire HR and am seeing that my logged exercises for today (treadmill and weightlifting) shows that I burned 0 calories during both exercises. I was wearing my Fitbit while at the gym but I always manually log my activities and have never had an issue with the app displaying 0 calories burned for a particular logged activity until now. When I click into the exercise that has been logged, it says “not enough data available” under calories burned. Anyone know why this could be happening?

I just posted something very similar! My issue is because the logged exercises are on a different time that when it actually occurred. I wonder if it’s a widespread issue they are currently having?

I had the same thing happen tonight. I always log my cycle rides at the gym and today I didn’t get any data - same message that not enough details. I checked to make sure HR was on and it is.

To follow up, same thing happened to me today, 0 calories burned during my logged exercises and “not enough data”.

Meanwhile, I woke up this morning to an unusually high amount of calories burned for the day already, so I checked the app and it shows a high amount of calories burned in the ~1 hour after midnight. It’s as if my calories that were supposed to be accounted for from my logged exercise yesterday weren’t measured until midnight.

I’m also noticing that my logged exercises from earlier in the week show that they occurred at different times than I originally recorded them, i.e. I recorded a treadmill activity for 4pm and it now is showing that it occurred at 10am, when this was not the time I entered and not the time the activity occurred.

It seems like there’s a system glitch having to do with time?

If you look at my message from earlier today - I'm having a similar, yet different issue. There's got to be something wrong with the exercise area. So hopefully they will investigate all these things.

Okay - I did a little investigating. In case nobody responds from Fitbit officially. I think mine was tied to the fact that while I had the app on my phone set up to record my exercise, my actual Fitbit Inspire HR watch was set to detect activity. So maybe the two were fighting for superiority? I went to the app and turned off all of the "auto recognized exercises". Tomorrow will be the true test.

It’s worth a try! It just seems odd that on my end I’ve been logging my exercise manually this whole time, especially because I do a lot of weightlifting that is not step-based, and it seems to have not had a problem to generating calories burned etc for the exercises I log, up until the past 2 days.

Let me know if your method works!

Funny that you mention that... I noticed the same thing today! It’s showing high intensity calorie burn right after midnight for me. It did show up that my HR was 46 during my cycle class.

I also logged my POP Pilates class today & yep, the not enough data with no HR shows up.

of course my calories are way off for today with the night number being early morning when I was sleeping.

Well, mine worked fine on Monday and then Tuesday and Wednesday were a mess. Fingers crossed!

Same here! If it is still wonky tomorrow then it has to be a system glitch - especially since we are having the same issues, same time frames and so forth. Hopefully we’ll get it figured out sooner rather than later!

I created a call with support. The guy I spoke to said that no one in the office had heard of this issue which is odd since there are community posts about this happening periodically since 2016 🙁

My experiment didn't work. Now, instead of having all those individual workouts, plus the one with 0 calories and "not enough data available" - I only have the zero calories and "not enough data available". Fitbit has to know this is a problem.

I contacted support and they let me know they are aware of the issue. Hopefully we will have a fix soon!

You got someone in support more informed than I did when I called yesterday 😉

I saw a comment about a fix that involved disconnecting the Fitbit, deleting the app, deleting the data on the device and re-installing but that's a whole lot of work on my part to fix an issue that if affecting so many users and that we are not responsible for.  I'm holding out for a better solution.

I tried that and it didn’t work 😞

@AlexaGcole - These were the exact instructions from the other post, is this what you did?

Un-installing Fitbit app from the iPhone

Turning the iPhone off and then back on

Removing all user data from the Inspire HR

Re-installing the Fitbit app

Setting up the Inspire HR while it is connected to its charger and charging.

Having it connected to the charger seems to be key.

I did all of that, minus the turning my phone off and on again. I'm on a "chat" with customer service right now.

I didn’t end up logging a workout yesterday but did this morning. Same thing -  no HR and the message of not enough data. However, the app seems to be double counting calories as it shows intense calorie burn around noon (my cycle class was at 5:30am) it also gives a low HR at 68 for 3 min during the early morning.

I haven’t had a chance to contact support but will try over the next few days. 😕 It’s just a bummer since all was working fine until Tues night & the calories are overstated since then if I log an workout. I haven’t cleared any data but did restart my fitbit twice. I did notice thought that before I synced, my fitbit seemed to be more accurate in calorie burn & the app on my phone added more.

Has anyone gotten this resolved yet?  I'm still getting the "Not Enough Data Available" message 😞
