I have been reading the forums and it seems like many people are having issues with the Inspire Hr and it's lovely Error 001 screen. Some of the people haven't even owned their device this long or it's their second device doing this.
My husband bought me an inspire HR as a quit smoking incentive to get more healthy and I'm also having an issue with this error 001 that freezes the device. Resetting doesn't help. My husband and my mother have also encountered a few delightful quirks this device has to offer.
So your device thinks your doing some strange exercise when you first wake up or maybe while you're in the shower or perhaps you were just watching tv.. Yeah, mine did too. Love getting credit for doing this stuff but it doesn't really count if it's not real. Driving down the road and racking up some steps? yeah, also cool to pretend you earned that I guess.
So my device stopped working. I want a cigarette and I decided to pass some time by doing some light reading. I read forum post, blogs, helps faqs, and more. I see all the same complaints. The same problems. But on every forum post here in the Fitbit community that someone mentions these issues someone from Fitbit responds back saying they have never heard of this issue before and to reset the device...etc.
Customer support when I chatted with them did seem like they knew what this issue was but didn't say this much. They Asked for my device to be sent to them. My device has been broken since the 21st. Sent in after the 2nd..and I'm still waiting for my replacement.
Other people are having issues with the charging port on the backside of this and some other devices causing them some mild-severe skin irritations. I am not sure but I believe it's caused by a discharge of electricity? Or perhaps the metals? My husband's wrist has a scar. He didn't even feel it until it already took some skin off. We did some research and other people have had this issue. This issue can be "fixed" by using a tiny piece of scotch tape over the charging area on the backside of the watch to prevent it from contact with your skin. I don't think this stuff should be happening with a device that's new on the market. I don't like how I have been seeing peoples questions in the forums get answered. It's not fair and they deserve to know this is an issue and it's not just them. I have done so much research I quite possibly know more about this device than I ever care to know.
I am concerned for the people that might not reach out and get a replacement for what im worried about is a replacement to another broken device that will give them the same issue until they decide...screw it.
What about the people who probably don't know where to start or don't have the resources to find out how to get assistance to get help with these issues?
Are we all just going to get replacements that are also defective or hurt our bodies? Why can't someone compile all these complaints? I can do it for you if you need the help. What can we do to avoid these errors that render our device unusable? Are they going to be fixed to help with the random exercises in the middle of watching a movie? I am still waiting on my replacement since the 2nd of May so yeah, I think my quit smoking incentive just gave me an incentive to start back up.
I personally do not want the same device sent to me. I find it offensive to think they can put me through this waiting, this stress and send me another the exact same problematic device.

HI ,
I have this same issue with screen showing 001 error. Tried to restart it but all in vain.
The problem doesn't stop here. I bought this Inspire HR from Singapore Airport on 2nd May 2019 and returning this device back to the shop is more complicated.
I have send an email to fitbit customer, lets see how they help me on this. But this is a genuine problem and might tarnish their image in this watch category which is their bread and butter .

I really hope you are able to have something done about it. It seems like it will just keep happening to this until they recognize there is an issue and can find a fix for it. It's awful they are still selling them while they are acting like this. Shame on them.

Hi,
I have the same issue and have ticket with the support team , and the last email I got from them on 10 may 2019 information to restart Inspire HR device, and confirm that I restart it before contact them.
After that I'm not got answer from them and not respond to my emails.
