Inspire HR shows a "001 error" message

I have an inspire hr.  I got a low battery indication, and a little while later the screen changed to the Fitbit logo, with the numbers 001 and IKQMHJJ3.

 

I plugged the device in and left it for a while but there was no change. 

 

I tried restarting it by holding the button in while it was plugged in button in for 10 seconds. After that the screen went black and I released the button. It showed a smiley face, then a black screen and wouldn't respond. A short while later the 001 error was back.

Have been using my Inspire HR for 20 days and worked fine til day 21.  Screen went black, will not react to swiping the face, it's charged and will not register when plugged into computer.  While holding it my hand it vibrates about every 20 seconds.

Help, please. What's wrong?

Hi @Swindon66  Try restarting it several times. If that doesnt bring it back to life, please come back here.

Thank you.  Tried your suggestion multiple times and the results are,  the smiley face does come on, I release the side button, there is no reaction to swiping up or down, after several seconds the smiley face goes away and and nothing.  The only way to get the smiley face back is to do another restart.

I have same problem - customer service takes over 48 hours to respond !  Not impressed 🤨

Same issue here.  My Galaxy  Note 8 did an Android update and now my Inspire HR seems to have bricked.  It will vibrate at regular intervals and make a smiley face if I hold the button for a bit.  Phone no longer sees it on Bluetooth.

Mine does the same thing out of nowhere yesterday. I have only had the Inspire HR for about 3.5 weeks and it will not restart - it just shows the smiley face and does nothing or one time it had the Fitbit logo and er 001 for an hour. Please help I was happy with it until this happened.

Exactly what happened to me - Customer service is really lacking - they have now sent me a shipping label to send back my Inspire HR -  will take about 20 days for them to send me another - I am not impressed - I really liked the Inspire HR  up until now 🤨

Hello I have just been given the Fitbit Inspire HR as a present only 2 weeks ago and the screen has gone blank. When trying to restart (whilst charging) it shows a smiley face and no further response. Can someone help on solving this issue?

Same issue while charging Fitbit logo with 001. Screen goes blank. Sometimes the smiley face appears with periodic vibration but screen remains steadfastly blank. Hardly used for 5 days.

Hi my inspire hr has got the same issue. It went off/blank on the 11th April. Have tried the reset but it just goes blank again and vibrates every  20sec. Anyone  got an answer  yet?

I am having exactly the same issue, waiting on support emailing me. Really disappointed. Reset gives a smiley face but then nothing. Then vibrating every 20 seconds.

I recently purchased a Fitbit Inspire HR and am having problems with the 001 error code. My device is not syncing and I cannot get it to charge. I have cleaned it as instructed and tried power outlets without success.. please help!

Contact Fitbit. Mail it on for replacement if it’s still under warranty. Be warned, they send you a mail label and it TAKES 4 EVER.

I have done that. At this point they have had it longer than I have since I purchased it. It's ridiculous. I should have just taken it back to the store where I purchased it.

Screen is locked and can’t sync or change anything. "MKNMJXBG 001" is on the screen.
