I have an inspire hr. I got a low battery indication, and a little while later the screen changed to the Fitbit logo, with the numbers 001 and IKQMHJJ3.
I plugged the device in and left it for a while but there was no change.
I tried restarting it by holding the button in while it was plugged in button in for 10 seconds. After that the screen went black and I released the button. It showed a smiley face, then a black screen and wouldn't respond. A short while later the 001 error was back.

Getting the exact same issue, with different letters: IKNMJACO with the 001 error number below and the Fitbit logo above. Have restarted it four times. I get the smiley face and then about five-ten minutes of vibration pulses and the error reappears with same letters. I cannot charge it (tried it on six different USB ports on two different computer, plus an iPhone charger) and it will not connect with the Fitbit app on a Windows 10 desktop or an iPhone.

I just received my less than 2 weeks ago. O emailed FITBIT and they emailed me back and now they are sending my issues to warranty department. Every time I get a new Fitbit I go through this.

I just got an email, next step looking at warranty. I'm concerned that if it get another one the same thing will happen.

Mine was purchased 03/19 at a big box store.. it stopped working 03/16. I’m not dealing with a warranty dept that’s going to talk to me like I’m the dumba$$ or getting a refurbished replacement...I’ll be taking mine back to the store with receipt in hand from where I purchased it.

I bought my newest Fitbit 4/01/2019 and am now having the exact same problem as everyone else. It is fully charged but completely black and doesn’t respond to swipes and no little green lights on the back, vibrates every 20 seconds. I have tried resetting/restarting it several times. I get the smiley face and then it goes black again. Bluetooth says it’s not connected and the app can’t sync. I am disappointed with the response everyone else has had. I have two runs coming up and can’t wait 3 weeks for a replacement. I have always loved my Fitbits (this is my 4th) but am not happy with this new Inspire HR.

I’d be even more annoyed if I get a refurbished one. I paid for a new one - I don’t want it to be replaced by some 2nd hand dodgy one 😡😡

I have a 001 error message on my fitbit inspire HR, it also has the following letters between the logo and 001, AJJEKGZN. I have tried resetting several times with no luck. Please let me know how to fix this problem. Thank you! Laura

Thanks for troubleshooting this "IKNMJACO 001" error by yourself. Can you please provide me with a photo of this message by following the instructions provided in this post?
In the meantime, I recommend setting up your tracker as a new device by following the steps in the help article: How do I set up my Fitbit device?.

Only had this fitbit around 3 weeks and already had a few issues with syncing and now I have the following error MINMKIJQ 001 along with fitbit logo.
I have already tried restarting the device however the smiley face appears it vibrates a few times then returns to a black screen. Wondering whether to just return to Currys where it was purchased.
Any ideas on a fix?

i am having this same issue with the code ujjen3ch and error code 001. i got this 2 days ago and was excited to use it, however now it does no good. i have restarted it over 20 times and get that same 10-15 minutes of vibrations. please help me with this i was looking forward to using this device.

Hi @Sarahud, I already searched the Help page to see if there was an article that might help and I didn't find any. If I were you, I would contact Support (link is at the bottom of the page) to see what they have to say. When you find out, can you post the solution here to help others?
