I have an inspire hr. I got a low battery indication, and a little while later the screen changed to the Fitbit logo, with the numbers 001 and IKQMHJJ3.
I plugged the device in and left it for a while but there was no change.
I tried restarting it by holding the button in while it was plugged in button in for 10 seconds. After that the screen went black and I released the button. It showed a smiley face, then a black screen and wouldn't respond. A short while later the 001 error was back.

Hello,
I got my fitbit inspire for Christmas and have been wearing it for about 3 weeks. My screen went black last night and it will not come back on. I have charged it. Tried to restart multiple times. It does nothing. No smiling face. Just vibrates and stays on a black screen. Help!!! I love my Fitbit.

My Inspire has gone blank. Holding the button in makes it briefly vibrate after three seconds but it remains otherwise dead. Now useless. Recurring problem.

I have the same issue. My Inspire HR screen is black. Trying to restart it several times did nothing. I just bought this on Black Friday 2019! Please help.

Mine went black again like a month ago for the second time. I just frankly stopped wearing it. These things are garbage. What is even more infuriating is having to post this on a forum where the company gets to do nothing about the issue. You suck Fitbit.

I know this post if from a while ago but I had the same issue with my inspire HR. I noticed that one of the "sensors" had what looked like water droplets in it. I never submerged my fit bit in water but I wear it while doing dishes, washing hands and such. So I took off the bands, cleaned all the gunk that was build up (gross!!) and put it in a small container of rice for about 24 hours (just like you can do for your phone). Woke up the next morning and it was working!! Just needed charged!!

Go into the Fitbit app and change your screen settings to Simple Stats. Seems to work everytime, as I tend to change my screen back to what I want and it eventually does it again if I let the battery get too low. Takes a couple of minutes to load on your Fitbit...you should see a line with progress on your Fitbit.

I've had this exact problem. Spoke with customer service and was told I'd be getting an email and never have.
Very frustrating. I've purchased Fitbit products for several years now. Very dissapointed that this is not getting resolved.

I uninstalled the fitbit from my phone as a last resort and now cannot get it to reinstall with the 001 code.
Thanks for that tip though.
