Inspire HR shows lines through display

My Fitbit is currently showing lines through the display and it is progressively getting worse. It started with one line at the top of the clock face and is now through almost the first set of numbers.

I suggest you restart your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  3. Press and hold the button or buttons on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

I have tried this and my tracker shows the smiley face but doesn’t vibrate. It also didn’t fix the issue.

I’ve had that happen on two devices. First one was within 1yr warranty so after numerous restart, reset instructions from Fitbit failed to resolve the issue, they sent me a replacement which was refurbished and was not under warranty.  Now this year nearly to the date, the second one started the lines issue. For well over a month now is totally blacked out so I can only view info on phone app.  It still tracks but is useless to view anything.  If yours is still under warranty you should ask about a replacement.   

 

I won’t make it a third mistake .... currently shopping for other tracking devices from other companies.   A tracker should last more than a year.
