I have been using fit bit since they came out with the Fitbit Tracker. My main goal is to track my steps. The inspire HR is extremely inaccurate. This is upsetting, since I love the look and the swipe mode. I have read the posts from other users that are having the same problem. I have restarted, changed my step stride, turned off the auto sync on everything except the steps and nothing seems to work. It's not the steps that are the issue, but all the other movements that add into the total steps. No other fitbit gave me this problem. I do not want to return this item, but will if there is no remedy. Please help!

@catdog530 A warm welcome to our Community!
Let me help you with your Inspire HR step count. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen when driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.
Let me know how it goes.

I have already put it on my nondominant arm and selected it as dominant. I will give it a few more days. None of my other fit bits were as sensitive as the Inspire HR. I don't really do repetitive movements; just day to day tasks. I was hoping there would be a fix 😞

Please tell me you're not telling customers to log bogus activities to negate out a complete dysfunction of the product? That's ridiculous and if that's your approach, I think I'll be taking my Inspire HR back to the store for a refund.
There is a genuine problem here and you have a myriad of posts on these support boards that indicate that. What is Fitbit doing to solve this issue? That is what your customers want to know. Coming up with "fixes" such as dominant wrists, non-dominant settings, logging driving activities, etc. is NOT a solution.
I literally have my step count go up as I sit here and type on my keyboard. This is WRONG. Please, for the sake of your own credibility, recognize there is an issue and tell us you're working on it. We can be patient on a real solution. We can't tolerate being misled and having to do a myriad of special things to make this work as advertised.
